Um, not sure if it’s just me, but the pod doesn’t seem to be working. Looking forward to hearing it tho.

The server that hosts the files has said:

A system maintenance is scheduled from 12:00pm to 18:00pm EST Nov 30, 2011.

I am not sure what time zone they are speaking of, so it could be that. Hopefully all starts working.

      No, it isn’t.

Perhaps this is the maintenance window.

      Looking into it.

Well, maybe I understand scrums a bit better. Now I think about it…

I have listened to all 50 podcasts & would say Ben Darwin has been the best guest yet out of a very strong field (Woody is excellent too but I count him as a regular now).

Just a comment on the idea of a supporter group of the Lions tour. Have a good look at what the Fanatics have done & make sure you don’t do that! What started as a great concept with supporting Davis Cup has just become a massive car crash & an embarrasement to Australian sport.

    Thanks for that podcast.

Very interesting comments from Darwin, particularly mentioning that we were using a THP as the LHP (Kepu) and a LHP as a THP (Alexander). [I know that Kepu had to play LHP if Alexander was ensconced at THP (because of injuries) - but where is that clap icon?]

I don’t know a lot about propping but I know a THP when I see one and I don’t see it in Alexander, who I rate as a top bench prop to come on in the last 30 minutes in test matches, tops. I see it in Ma’afu now and saw it in Kepu against some top Super scrums. I have no doubt I will see it in Dan Palmer when he is healthy next year.

Alexander will be more effective playing THP after 50-60 minutes if the opposing LHP has started the game, and if he is playing against bench prop by that time, well, that player is at least 2nd string, which is closer to what he is in scrummaging terms.

Also his general play will be more effective in the last 20-30 minutes anyway.

Incidentally, is there any way to save the podcast file instead of just the link? I want to edit it and save the scrum bits. When I right click using Vista there seems to be no facility to do anything other than save the link, but maybe some whizz (and I’m looking at you Moses) can tell me what to do.

    Thanks LG

      Thanks Lee.

You are right there wrt. to saving the file, when you right click and select save the link, that is just fancy talk for saving the file that is linked. Some browsers say Save Link, some Save Target. Either will get you the file on your computer.

        Thanks, that worked.
