Podslam 97: Capitulation

Podslam 97: Capitulation

On this episode of the Podslam, Scott Allen and I get the pleasure of chatting with Laurie Fisher. We look at the Brumbies’ season so far and take a peek at this week’s mouthwatering clash with the Reds.

After saying goodbye to Laurie, we are joined by Hugh Cavill to review the games from last weekend and I put my tips in live. We also look at some of the hot issues, including a quick chat about this incident from the Chiefs versus Reds game on the weekend:

Top podcast once again, guys! Informative and always good value with Laurie as a guest.

I usually save and listen later but this time couldn’t see the download link and had to stream it. Is there still a ‘save as’ option?

I agree, I like to listen off line. Could you guys click the downloads enabled button?

      • YEAH BOI!

Thanks, Gagger. And I like the length! It is usually split into segments anyway – 1.Interview, 2.Weekend review. 3.Hot Topics/Upcoming matches or events. So it is easy enough to hit the pause button if you only want 20 or 30 mins.

Thanks, has been frustrating trying to listen to it on the tractor with dodgy reception. Have to turn phone on side to get to the download button (now I’ve worked it out!)
Might post a comment now I can listen to it uninterupted.

Hey guys, love the work, only bit of feedback i would like to offer (please feel free to ignore at your leisure), It would be good if the pod cast was a bit more succinct and faster paced. Only saying so because i find myself only able to listen to the first half most of the time, my drive to work is only 30 minutes, I only have a 30 minute lunch break, I am sure the general listener would be in a similar situation.

As I said, please feel free to ignore, end of the day, i am glad that the podcast is there regardless of the length.

The way i see it, the Super B comp would take players away from club rugby, further deminishing the product.

Why can’t the club rugby game of the round be the curtain raiser?

And why can’t they shorten the club rugby season by 2 to 4 weeks and have a national play off? With top 4 of each state or something like that. Surely that would generate interest with tv rights etc.

  • Another great podcast fella’s. Seamless ending, the highlight for me was the weird noise from Timmsy just before the wrap up music!
