Bob Dwyer’s had 2 votes already I see

  • Alan

Thought Henry Speight was worthy of making the shortlist, he has had a fine season

    • http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/ Matt Rowley

      Yep, he’s in

      • Alan

my bad! just saw him there

  • tigerland12

Pocock and Sharpe up the top (rightfully so), shows how much they carry the Force. Which explains their recent injuries, must be hard carrying a whole franchise on your shoulders every week

  • Ali

That’s rubbish Tigerland12. Sure, the Force backline isn’t the strongest but there’s no way you can deny the quality of the entire forward pack. The likes of Cowan, Charles, Brown, McCalman and Hodgson are most certainly not “carried” by anyone. And let’s not forget the fact that the Force have only lost one more game this season than the supposedly “star-studded” Waratahs.

As I’m with the darkness I’m going to vote for everyone Robbie likes. We want some success to keep him with you guys and not have him sent back

    • muffy

GAGR, dont we have any decent form of Kiwi filter on the site? :)

Seriously Nick, do the folks across the ditch question RDs selections? (Thats if you are a Kiwi, not just an Aussie Deans hater)

Interested as it is an unbiased view, my glasses are tinted way to Red to be objective.

  • Nathan

Loving how Reds fans give thumbs down to anyone that doesn’t play for the reds.

How did Fardy and Nic White get so many thumbs down? It’s a consistent number as well.

    THAT’S RIGHT. CONSPIRACY TIME.

    • The Other Dave

Dude, they’re not Tahs, but feel free to keep the tin foil hat on if it makes you feel safe.

(Typed while voting Berrick Barnes down eleventy-squillion times)

    • Westo

Bro, not true, I voted for Higginbotham…

  • Kurt

Is this an Australian player vote or Aussie conference vote?

Surely the best player this year has been Gareth Delve!

  • RJ

Too many brumbies players in this shortlist. They came 7th. Reds came 3rd.

  • PR3

Would have been Lealifano before he got injured.

  • muffy

One thing that Gen Y needs to take note of is the showboating Beal and O’Conner are fast loosing respect from the watching /paying public.

Start playing football boys, stop making a tit of yourselves with metrosexual hair cuts, getting pissed and being a goose, or repeatedly telling us peasants of the world how cool you, your bros and your brand are.

Look where its got that Ciprianni idiot.

Perhaps Pocock, Gill, Hooper, Mog, Shipperly etc are better examples of how to be a professional

    • wilful

What utter bollocks. What on earth has O’Connor done this season, apart from getting injured too many times, to deserve such tripe? You don’t like his hair style? You think he, or the rest of the world, give a rats clacker about your style tips? When and where have Beale or O’Connor “showboated”?

    • Patrick

I haven’t been overly impressed with O’Connor’s season, but that is coming from high expectations.

Beale on the other hand was good at fb and has absolutely shot the lights out at five-eight, or did you just happen to miss those games? He genuinely lifted the whole team and provided an attacking threat that even the Bulls and Crusaders couldn’t contain, or do you think there was some intercontinental conspiracy to pump up his tyres??

      • wilful

Patrick, I don’t think that O’Connor has had a great season either, particularly with his injuries. But to tie that criticism to a criticism of his style, his life, is pathetic. Beale has had a better season – though has had more ‘indiscretions’.

  • muffy

Settle down – you will spill your latte

  • http://www.dumptackle.blogspot.com Philip Bailey

Genia, then Sharpe and then maybe Hooper. Not quite sure how Gill is above hooper when he wasn’t even around during the JWC.

There’s a funy article on dumptackle Rugby Blog atm where they have dished out some not so serious awards for the 2012 super Rugby Season. For example, best beard, most fragile player etc.

    Can be found below:
