Discussion

    hmm…

was expecting Hore and Thorn to be in the line up for the Highlanders.

Turns out Hore is suspended and Thorn is out with a calf injury,

FB is already sold out, Really hope they can replicate last years first round feat.

  • The Rant

read Jeremy Tilse has the nod to start for the waratahs. Good on him. Been on the fringes for ages. Robbo needs to get fitter.
Expecting a Foley-Carter-AAC midfield though which doesn’t get me wet. Back 3 have the gas though.
Should be a cracker game but at suncorp and the reds a game in and smarting it might be a bit much to ask for the tahs for their first game.

    • http://landoftheunit.wordpress.com/ Sully

The question is how do they get the pill with the road blocks in the midfield?

      • The Rant

exactly. If it really was true that fwds decide who win the game and the backs by how much – waratahs might win by 1point.

        • JimmyC

That will do me just fine

    • Chehade

Looks like a good lineup for the Tahs! I don’t mind the midfield! Foley should be a stand out… good to see him in the 10 jersey! He has the make for it!

  • Gus

The Reds are still the youngest team in at least australia at an average age of under 24 (23.9). Is this representative of the reds hoarding prospects or just injuries? As a reds fan I’d much rather have a little more experience in the pack.

(Tahs (25.7), Rebels (25.7), Brumbies (25.3), Force from last week (24.4))

    • http://landoftheunit.wordpress.com/ Sully

How do the Reds stack up in Super Rugby caps?

  • Robson

Some tense matchups in this round and some chips coming down on the table with Reds (McKenzie??) v Tahs (Cheika) and Blues (Kirwan) v Hurricanes (Hammett). I realise that McKenzie is the director of coaching at the Reds, but not sure how that fits in terms of his direct relationship with the team. He was in the dressing room with the boys at the halfway mark last Saturday and seemed to be having some input. In any event the Reds seemed to be struggling for rhythm last week so this time they will want to find it on their home ground. The Tahs, on the other hand, will want to show off a new look. It could be a cracker. LIkewise Kirwan will want to show that the Blues have re discovered their mojo; and, just as importantly, that he is the man for the job. I think I would have to give it to the Reds, narrowly of course, because they have already created a playing style and maintained it under the duress of match experience. The Tahs will want to show off something special, but they may need time to settle into it. On the other side of the ditch the same could be said for the Hurricanes. They proved something last year and will perform well this year too. The Blues are like the Tahs, they need to show that the renaissance is well under way. So important games for both Cheika and Kirwan.

  • Hawko

Two hours to go before Fantasy lockdown and still the Force cannot name a line-up. Foley’s playing silly-buggers, probably thinks that’s what a head coach is supposed to do.
