Outstanding post Noddy. I love to read this stuff as its important to occasionally focus on the past to be able to understand how we arrived at the present. You'd be able to pick a pretty fair bench from this lot as well: Greg Davis, Garrick Fay, Arthur McGill, John Brass, Mick O'Connor, Mark Ella, the real Noddy, John Thornett, Tony Miller, Peter Johnston, Steve Cutler, Willie O, Andy McIntyre.
Just remembering that Walks only played 7 tests - for some reason it seems like more.....
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Wonderful article all up, there were so many who had short careers post 1984 weren't there? My own rugby fanaticism started about the same time, maybe just before, when I saw a game televised on Auntie ABC on the weekend (this when they covered Rugby properly) which showed a Randwick team running rampant, with un unfeasibly large number of Ellas in it seemed! And then at the age of 18 seeing the Grand Slam tour just capped it off. My terrible experiences (brief it is to be admitted) of trying to play 9 at school were forgotten...I was a fan for life.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

The only thing that needs more Tahs is the NRL. Why is there a thumbs up option but no thumbs down? ;)
Current score: 1 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

Sorry, but it was something to do with seeing Tim Horan and the number 20 next to his name that made me step it. It is unacceptable for a 1990-2000 Wallaby fan not to have Tim Horan as the first name on the team sheet at 12.
Other than that I think Bobas team is brilliant... Maybe Enrique Rodrigez at 1 though although Benn Fat Cat is storming through the ranks.
What a backline that would be. Would love to see Horan and Mortlock teamed up.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)

How good would an invitational touring team of bearded players. Call them the Grizzly's and get a past bearded legend to coach.
Current score: 0 (to vote for this comment, please visit the site)
