Chariots of Carter. You crack me up Gags!!
If he raced in the Stawell Gift, he’d be given a marker 5 metres from the tape, and still get run down.
It’s not really meant to be too much of a comment on Carter or his pace, just a laugh.
Although, it wouldn’t have hurt if he’d tried something as he got chased down; change of direction, hand off, QC goose step…..

That Carter moment was even better than when Link played Morgs on the wing against Habana!

Why doesnt Carter do some bloody sprint training! Surely its something you can work on. Maybe not to the extent of habanas speed but i recon he could maybe shave a second off a 100m sprint with some hard training. He should have been strong enough to palm that winger off too, that guy looks so skinny, but he sure did tackle old carter well.

In Carter’s defence in this clip he was chased down by one of the fastest blokes in world rugby. I’m sure he does sprint train alot – he’s just built for power not speed. Players can be trained & coached any rugby skill except speed, their pace is god given unfortunately. As a card carrying Tahs fan it hurts me to say he’s just not fast enough for outside centre.

Nice work Gagger!
Love the cliche counter, Shanchez taking “the next Gregan” tag in both hands.

I am pissing my pants laughing!!!!!! Top work. Absolute class!!!!!!!!
Well done, Gagger and Scarfman, best blindside gang tackle of the season!
Still, as Gagger says, “It’s not really meant to be too much of a comment on Carter or his pace, just a laugh.” Pure coincidence that the object of derision happened to be Tom Carter, eh?
It would have spoiled the laugh if you’d mentioned that the tackler was Tonderai Chavhanga, the Zimbabwean Springbok who was credited with a 10.27 100m time at age 16 but modestly claims it was only 10.5.
It would have spoiled the laugh if you’d mentioned that in his debut Test match in 2005 against Uruquay, Chanderai scored six tries, a Springbok record.
And it would have spoiled the laugh if you’d mentioned that Jake White in his book rated Chanderai as possibly the fastest man in South African rugby history and at that time the fastest rugby player in the world.
No, that would have made Scarfman look the goose for his jibe about Carter: “If he raced in the Stawell Gift, he’d be given a marker 5 metres from the tape, and still get run down.”
Little wonder that on this site Carter is the Aunt Sally for all the cheap shot merchants around when the two blokes running the site lead the charge.
I can only echo D’s comment:

In an attempt to balance the ridicule of Poor Tom, i do think his try in the 17th minute was very good and outside center like.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
I’d like to thank my agent, lawyer, dealer and family for all their support.
Other thanks go to Scarfie for the Chariots of Carter treatment – Scarfie, I hope I brought your vision to the small screen.
Also to Moses for the whole Genia segment, which I simply nicked.
I thank you all!
Is this a good time to announce my budding relationship with Kate Winslet?
yo gags, i’m really happy for you, i’ll let you finish.
but i gotta say this. that was tight, but your for brisvegas on fire was one of the best videos of all time!
I Think Yakety Sax would have been better for a few of those moments.
Hahaha well done man, best highlights package you have put together yet.
I love the words that come on with the close up of Quade… “I’m not that innocent”.
Prophetic??
I like when Quade runs down the sideline, the advertising board says ‘Don’t be a galah’
Carter takes the cake
To be fair to Carter, Chavanga is bloody fast.
to be fair to Gagger, Carter is bloody slow.
Hate to be a big Broadway Bruce, but Carter didnt do much wrong. Except roll his fat arse into touch.
Oh why would we want Gasnier at 13 when we have that speed merchant….also doesnt carter have 30kgs on Chavanga…he needs to watch Diggers palm Cross.

Apologies for twice mentioning “Chanderai” rather than “Chavhanga” in the post above.
Absolutely p#ssed & sh*t myself from laughing so hard. Hopefully this will be a weekly post??
only if the players keep coming up with such laughable plays.
wish i had the skill to do this, keep them coming
