Rebels team pretty much as expected.

2. Anaru Rangi
3. Jermaine Ainsley
4. Matt Philip
5. Geoff Parling (v/capt)
6. Angus Cottrell
7. Colby Fainga’a
8. Amanaki Mafi
9. Michael Ruru
10. Reece Hodge
11. Marika Koroibete
12. Billy Meakes
13. Tom English (capt)
14. Jack Maddocks
15. Dane Haylett-Petty

Reserves
16. Nathan Charles
17. Fereti Sa’aga
18. Sam Talakai
19. Ross Haylett-Petty
20. Richard Hardwick
21. Harrison Goddard
22. Jack Debreczeni
23. Sefa Naivalu
That front row worries me against the Reds, Faulkner and Ainsley have proven to be the weakest combination at prop for the Rebels all year.

Sa'aga and Talakai will give the Reds reserves a hard time tho.

Apart from that, the team is fairly good and a clear leap in quality between the backs. Reds pack has the upper hand tho.

i call bullshit on that Tuttle story. Who exactly told Tuttle that? Sounds like it could be a bit of GPS chinese whispers on the assumption what happen to Frisby could happen to Tuttle. If Thorn told this to Tuttle then shame on Brad for being so short sighted with what the future holds.

I swear i seen Tuttle take over waterboying duties and running out the tee on one of the away games recently. Cant tell you which game but i saw it on foxtel.

It seems as though the selection is more based around rotation. IMO the Rebels best front row combination is Faulkner Uelese Talakai with a bench of Saaga Rangi Ainsley.

Pone Fa'amausili didn't disgrace himself either when he had a chance. He might push his way into the team by next season.

Don’t worry about the scrum. Ours was fantastic last week but we were horrible elsewhere - make that everywhere else.

Yes, the Rebels just need to not knock the ball on so they don't concede scrums and they will go well.

I am picking the Reds to win for two reasons.

1- if we beat the Rebels then an announcement about a contract extension for the coaching team will occur. The Reds have the ability to ruin my dreams so they might as well shatter my dreams re coaching set up.
2- I bet on the Rebels to win the conference at $4.20 in December last year. I am not good enough at tipping for the Rebels to remain a chance of winning me money.

It is a funny game for me, as a Reds supporter I want the Reds to win but would love the Rebels to beat the Tahs to top spot and if this takes a loss then so be it.

I’ve heard from a friend at GPS that Tuttle has been told he won’t play for the Reds again. Take that as you will, but his form certainly hasn’t been bad enough to be ostracised as he has.

So he'll sit in the stands and receive his contract payments like Cooper, Hunt, and Slipper.

Fucking great.

Hope no other players transgress (with DUI or Domestic Violence, speeding etc ) and sit on the sidelines as well. We'll have a team up there.

The Reds Board is fucking hopeless and throw their man love for Thorn in there as well and the solid rumours of a RA takeover, imminent ATM, will become reality within a few months.

Bring it on !

The Reds forwards need to do more than scrum well.

They are clearly a talented pack but they aren't playing a dynamic running, passing and offloading game that they should certainly be capable of.

It's all a bit simplistic at the moment but really they should be able to stay in games just with those forwards despite some clear deficiencies in backline talent.

Yep and I guess I will be there again!! I sometimes wonder why I, as a one eyed kiwi rugby supporter keep going into games to support the Reds (when they not playing NZ team then perhaps not;)) and I generally leave as frustrated with Qld rugby as when I arrived!! It is hard being a rugby tragic sometimes!

You could always be a Lions supporter in the AFL. I have a few mates there & they virtually had an orgasm when the Lions had a win last weekend. Very rare indeed.

The number of players you are paying to do not much is pretty amusing.

You could fund an entire team with the salaries of Hunt, Cooper and Slipper.

Assaulting a taxi driver does seem like one activity that Mr Thorn doesn't seem to have too much of an issue with.
