Rebels 2021

Is it possible the Rebels actually asked to start with a bye and an away match to give more time to ensure home games later? As it was, if we had a match at home in round 1 we may have almost missed out!
No when the draw came out it had been confirmed that the boxing test would go ahead and Melbourne would be a BBL hub so they wouldn’t of had any covid concerns

Fuck me, the bellyaching in here is some of the worst I've seen in my time, almost up there with the awful vibes around when the Force got boned.

Yeah it's a shit deal but get it off your chest and move on. This forum isn't a personal bitch and whinge grievance airing platform.
Playing on a Sunday at two we may as well play the game on the dark side of the moon. It’s a terrible time slot that is no good for fans and will hurt the club financially

I suppose the best thing to do is to forfeit the game, and hand the Brumbies the 4 points......... cheers.

This time last year I 'nobly' decided to catch public transport from my home in Melbourne to Ballarat for the game against one of the jaapie teams.

Tram to the city, v-line to Ballarat, bus close to the ground, walk. Reverse process. Ended up being an 8.5 hour trip to see 75% of a rugby game!

Anyway, bring on the Reds next week!

My point is less about the technicalities about fixture change and more about posters effectively hijacking a thread and repeatedly posting the same complaints. We get it, you're not happy.
It’s the most relevant news story to the Rebels 21 campaign of course people are going to discuss it.

Didn't realise Stacey Ili was back in the mix. Melbourne Rising 2015, spent 2 or 3 years at Connacht and was at Hawkes Bay in the Mitre10 last three years - starting basically every match along the way.

3 scrummies. Assuming Frank is in as a utility.

Dare say frank will play wing, he did it once last yr.

I honestly believe we have a heavy loss here & then against the brumbies the following week if we dont beat the force week 4 put a line through the season & we wont win a game. 0-3 with being on the road again for 5 plus weeks & deep down the players know that if SRTT goes ahead there will have to be some form of bubble. Following that the wallabies players know they will have to do the same thing come rugby championship time equals most likely living out of a suitcase for 6 months without seeing family or friends the drive to be completely zapped. Looks like a long year ahead & even if we even get a game cant see more than 5k rocking up hopefully for our sake the tahs are that bad so we might win 1 game

Could he have been drafted in very recently as depth? unlike the other boys coming from nz he wouldnt have to spend 2 weeks locked up

I’m thinking:

Uelese
Fa'amausili
Hosea
To'omua (is he Victorian by birth or did I dream that?)
Koroibete
Ili
Aedo Kailea
Leota
Vaihu

Ili was very good for Hawkes Bay. Hopefully he can bring that form to a higher level of Super Rugby. Very rounded centre
