If you want a good space drama, try out For All Mankind on Apple TV. Good production budget, good actors and pretty tight character writing.

An Alternate history show set in the '70s where the Soviets were the first to the moon and essentially stole the US's mojo and what the US have to do now that they're coming 2nd in the space race.

I did watch the first episode and was nodding along saying, "mhm yes I love how they make the audience work for it, they don't spoon-feed you, I have to work hard to workout what's going on". Turns out this pillock was watching the first episode of the 2nd season. Turns out I was working hard because I missed a fkn season.

Jeez tell me about it, I did the same thing with "Industry" an excellent Brit series akin to Billions/Succession where everyone's an arsehole.

Hastily clicked on dodgy stream and inadvertently watched the LAST episode of the season FIRST.

"Wow, they're really biffing us in the deep end to keep up with who these people are. Think, DP, think....."

Recently became hopelessly addicted to "Criminal Minds". ffs.

"Do we have any info about the baddie at all?"
"No but we can safely assume he is white, male, mid 30's. He is quiet in libraries but occasionally gregarious when in the company of other people, particularly when under the influence of alcohol. He likes pina coladas and making love at midnight. In the cool summer rain."
"Just ran all those details through the system and I've got an address".
"Call SWAT, let's go!"

"I reckon someone, somewhere, just got kidnapped".
"Hmm. I believe our unsub is a white male in their mid 30's. I believe he has 2 sisters but just 1 brother which clearly explains his unresolved impotency issues. He once suffered a traumatic episode in his early childhood. He builds model aeroplanes in his spare time which explains his need to control his environment. I am thinking he also has an identifiable birthmark on either his left or right hand".
"Just traced someone's address from a credit card purchase at a model aeroplane shop".
"Call SWAT, let's go!"

"The unsub is a bone idle misanthrope with an almost pathological aversion to work. He also has a fondness for excruciatingly slow and loud satanic doom metal. He probably answers to the nickname of "Dismal" or "Pillock" or some sort of a combination thereof".
"Hold on, what is this unsub's crime?"
"He is guilty of being almost corrosively handsome."
"Holy shit, call SWAT, let's go!"

WALKING DEAD is back on. Despite the show shitting the bed about 4 seasons ago, the 1st episode of new season was great

Surely you aussie boofheads have been following your fellow Aussie boofhead MR INBETWEEN? Great show.

Polished off MARE OF EASTTOWN. Only 7 eps but it really takes up residence in your brain. Bit of a chick-heavy sob story though. What a bunch of fuckups they are. All emotional and crying all the time and killing each other and fucking around all over town. Jesus. Just take it easy for a bit ffs

Also polished off all of LINE OF DUTY. The brits are having a giant cry about a crappy finale but seemed realistic to me

The best show on TV.....

I just could not farken stop.

bINGED THE WHOLE LOT.

25 minute episodes and you think you've been watching for about 6 or 7 minutes then it ends. The time absolutely flies by, more than for any other telly show I can think of. Rocketed into my currentish telly shows Top 10:

Really enjoying the Untold documentaries on Netflix. Malice at the Palace was particularly interesting, when the Indiana Pacers and the Pistons crowd got into a fight. Crime and Penalties about a 17 year old who's given a pro ice hockey team by his dad is very good too.

Not a single mention of White Lotus on this thread as yet. Interesting.
binged it over a few days. Had to play on my phone whenever Jennifer Coolidge's character is on, excruciating stuff.

The hotel manager (my personal favourite) is played by an Aussie apparently.

Gave Mr Inbetween a go with the gf last night based on y'all recommendations. Episode 1 was fine, nothing sensational. I assume it gets better?

Yep, for sure. It definitely grows on you as watch a few more episodes.

We have watched the first 4 episodes of 9 Perfect Strangers. Wasn't sold initially but am quite into it now. Tony is easily the best character.

Baldric

Jim Clark (26)
Netflix have Animal Kingdom a show based on the Australian movie by the same title.
Highly reccomended by the Baldrics
