Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

As I said yesterday or the day before, McDermott has been good, and I think they just wanted to see Gordon get a run before tour. Clearly still White and McDermott for me ( and probably the Wallaby coaches).
Oh, I agree. I think he probably showed enough to still be 3rd choice, but I wouldn't be amazed if they took Lonergan instead.

would love to hear what hooper said to jaco that presumably got him binned, hopefully nothing bad as don't need him missing time
Even after all these years he still doesnt really know how to address the referee. Always seems to sound somehow a bit condescending. Probably not even meaning to.

Yeah a few had underwhelming performances tonight, a few others strengthened their grip on starting 15 positions. QC (Quade Cooper), Kerevi, Kellaway, Ikitau all had good games, except for Valetini and Hooper thought the pack a bit meh ! Servicable but not as dominant as last week. JOC (James O'Connor) not great, McMahon did his job, won a couple of lineouts had a run or two.

JOC (James O'Connor) was a pretty big step down from QC (Quade Cooper) - but he also came on after Kerevi came off.

Crazy how important Kerevi has become and how quickly.

Kerevi did very little before he came off tonight. The centres were (mostly) neutered by the Argies.

Bit unfair on Ikitau, I thought he was pretty good

Ikitau took his chances and took opportunities with no look passes, done perfectly, resulting in tries.

But the centers were (mostly) neutered by the Pumas tonight. Ikitau just rose, not above it, but around it when the chance was there.

Scoring tries does not a MOTGM make. Excellent performance by Kellaway again but it is the work of the players setting up the play that wins, or loses, games. The second half showed exactly how important Quade is to this team and just how effective he raises the performance of the whole backline. QC (Quade Cooper) MOTM for me.

Game management went to pot when JOC (James O'Connor) replaced Quade, but that shouldn't be a surprise given how long he has been out injured. JOC (James O'Connor) still a valuable member of the No 10 brigade.

I thought the pack as a whole was average compared to last few weeks, expect Slipper and Hooper.

Tupou dropped a few balls and poor passes, needs to reign that in.

Fainga'a had a few poor throws, had a good role in two tries but not convinced by him as the test starter. Would prefer Feleti or BPA.

Swain did well in the lineout, but seemed to struggle in attack and defence, not a dominant carrier or defender. I think he is a few kg short of where he could be.

Samu was a step down from Leota in physicality in tight, I think Samu is a professional bench player.

They should with an eye on the future. Lonergan has similar skills to White and will be a good fit. I dont think Gordon brings much.

Valetini was pretty good, I reckon. Agree otherwise. Plenty of them had good moments but also some bad ones.

That might be the case but so far you’re the only one who didn’t see the decision as laughable.
I haven't said anything about the decision.

You're trying to blame the process and you are clearly wrong. Take it on the chin.

I’m not blaming anything, I agreed with someone that the TMO should be able to change the decision regardless of the on field one. Especially in a circumstance like that, because it was laughable.
