It’s the GPS/brothers game that caught my eye.
the gallopers will be in all sorts of trouble if they can’t pick up this scalp. They still have a trip down the M1 to Bond in round 1…
Will be channel flicking on Saturday over to the telecast of souths vs Easts… I reckon with some of that magpie u20 cattle coming back into the mixer that South’s can spoil the Ben Mowen undefeated farewell tour.
I suspect the 2 visiting University teams will make mince out of hosts Norths & Sunnybank (can’t count out this Dragons team though, they picked up the win versus UQ last year down at Sunnybank)

I think Phil Clinton was saying his mail is that Alex Mafi will be at the gallopers in 2023.
also chance we don’t see one lick of QPR because of higher honours

Yep I heard back in pre-season that Alex Mafi was linking with GPS (I don't believe his brother is playing much this year either). But a lot of water between then and now, I haven't seen any registration sheets to see what the go is.

Looks like there are 7 boys back from the 20s camp playing Prems this weekend:Anyone know if the under 20's boys are back this week?
If so that Easts vs Souths game will be a cracker. Souths just dont look the same attacking danger without HMP.

Yeah, UQ have had their troubles against both Sunnybank and Souths away over the past few seasons, that have been against the run of form. UQ haven't been on song this year, so definitely a danger game for them.

Brothers were very ordinary first 20 minutes. Thought they would over run GPS at end however Jeeps held on. Bas Ward looked very assured at 10 for GPS , maybe that was his run on debut?? Brothers with all their super rugby players back are a scary proposition back end of the second round and right thru the grades. Better team on the day ended up winning.

Brothers have bullied Sunnybank and Norths, beat a 14 man Bond that was on top before their man was red carded, limped to a victory over a mediocre UQ last week before losing yesterday to a GPS side that has not been impressive in any games this year.
I wouldn't be too quick to elevate them. So whilst meritorious, I don't rate GPS's win that highly either.

I agree I wouldn’t be too excited about either side if that is what they look like in 6 plus weeks time however Brothers will receive at least 6, possibly more players from the Reds. If Wilson ends up back in club rugby with Brothers they will dominate. JOC (James O'Connor) will most likely be playing at Crosby Rd and potentially Josh Flook. Half of that side yesterday will be playing second grade or Colts.
