RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

I'm not sold on Perecki. He's there primarily because he is more consistent with his throwing at the lineout. In general play, he does not win collisions, often misses tackles and is nearing the status of penalty magnet. I reckon, in general play, Faessler has it over him, but Porecki's lineout work will continue to see him selected until a more rounded hooker comes through the ranks. Dave Porecki is great at one of his primary jobs - lineouts, which is important for getting our attack going

Tbh I havent seen Faessler off anything more around the park?
Porecki wad shocking in contact last season, but it seems he has really worked on it.
Certainly no Marx tho

Being captain means almost nothing at this point.
I think this is Jones playing silly buggers and trying to wind the ex-captain (Tate) up for a great game. Not sure this is the smartest thing to do.
The proviso is if he will keep Poreki on for 80 but that hasn't happened so far.

What a pussy of a leader to say something as piss weak as that..Where did you hear it?
As always its MSM click bait, a comment taken out of context.

“This is the Wallabies’ most important game since the Rugby World Cup final in 2015,” McLennan said. “For all the Wallaby detractors, don’t watch the game. I think King Charles will be barracking for Australia.”

Ronan O'Gara recently made a statement to the effect of games being won from 1-10. Well, as a collective, I'm confident we're better at 1-9. But the most significant gap of any position is at 10. The question is whether we can exercise the dominance we need to stop that coming into it. I think that's 50-50 likelihood.
wonder how his 12 to 15 feel about that ?

do not watch highlights anymore
they spend 3' showing the kick-off, penalties, conversions, refs talking to players and the crowd for frig's sake ...
how 'bout the running rugby, tactical kicking, set pieces ...

I'm hunting for the context that was missing, help me out.

In what context would King Charles, formerly the Prince of Wales, be barracking for the Wallabies? And of what relevance is a nitwit like any of the British Royal Family to Australian Rugby? McLennan is just adding to the evidence that he is unsuitable in his present job. Poor decisions around sacking the coach in the run up to the Cup, replacing him with a coach who failed in his last appointment, spending millions of cash meant to be earnt in 2025 and 2027, pushing for a centralised structure that gives more power to the existing elite and that now seems to be running into trouble with at least two of the Super Rugby franchises (for good reason) - all strong indications he is not suitable.
