The sun is out at Scots main this morning. Noah’s flood has dried up and the boys are ready to play. North vs East!

Good luck to all teams today. Will be a challenge with such heavy grounds. Takes the sting out of pacey backlines and really favours strong forward packs supported by good kicking games. Games like today were made for last years Shore 10 & 15 who haven't made it back onto the paddock yet this year - amazing maturity and skill in ones so young. Kicking is often maligned at this level yet will likely be the deciding factor today - another reason my sky blues will miss Risati.

The Pie report

after once more enjoying the delicious pies of Stirling Bridge it was fortunate that this week brings me back to Heavens Pasture. The canteen mums were lovely and most helpful. The pie review is thus.

Hot and crusty pie. Not as much flake that Shore pie has. Meat chunks which has a hint of spices. The crust was firm. The fragrance was pleasing. I would say slightly superior to the Shore pie. My second will hopefully confirm the first.

@For Rucksake @Joker The long awaited Death Star Wookie Cookie review

Trying a Meat Pie From Every School
Part 2: Scots
Price 7/10 - $6.50 is one of the cheaper pies going around
Service 5/10 - Seems that they have hired a company to serve and no mums volunteering
Presentation 3/10 - Served on a bland white plate with no metal try and there was also no sauce available
Temperature 6/10 - Looks like it has been sitting in the oven since 6am
Pastry 2/10 - A very dense pastry and no flake at all. Very disappointed in this
Gravy 9/10 - One of the only good things I can say about this pie, very premium gravy.
Meat 4/10 - Just very average meat, not much to say about this
Overall 3/10 - Won’t be having one of these again. Would much rather have a pie from the Northbridge mums.

Scots mums don’t do canteen. This all died when the Blackwatch closed. Now it is hired hands with cold looks and colder pies. The cost sums it up best. Cheap pies cheap experience. Looking forward to giving my review next week.

Field holding up well at Parramatta. Kings 4ths surprisingly up 22-20.
16s game awful. 19-7 to View. No idea what game plan is for Kings but appalling options in the conditions with View happily feeding off the errors.
Actions on the field speak louder than opinions in forums.

Thank you @The President for your Scot’s pie review.

Upon seeing that I was reluctant to try a pie from the Black Watch Cafe’.

I mixed it up and gave a $8 Chicken schnitzel burger a try.

Very good alternative for the meatpie. 9/10 overall rating.

Will keep me full over a great day of footy.
