NSW AAGPS 2025 (banter and commentary)

How do we feel about the 2nds comp, me personally I see joeys as a favourite with their flashy play from the youngsters and discipline of the veterans. But don’t be stupid enough to count out the view 2nds squad, they gave newington a good smackdown then unfortunately through some very average play tied to Scot’s 2nds. Their combination of backing the young and leadership from 2nds repeaters has me grovelling as to who is more of the favourite.
Not straight!

A lot of teams have key players out injured atm. I’d wager the most expensive is Max Palmisani from Joeys, not because the replacement hasn’t been awesome (Minto is the best fullback in the comp) but because Max is a proven clutch kicker. When you think about the nature of the close loses his hamstring injury is tremendously expensive. Given he has been sprinting all year, the camp related tear is a confounding. Load management perhaps. whatever the case it is most certainly the most crucial injury in the comp this season.

Minto? Any relations to Declan Minto in France?

Injuries and adjustments - had to do something but worry not playing your 15 at 15 and reverting to some who have not delivered at 1s level yet, fair play for reverting to the 12. Forward pack also has four back rowers and have not replaced the line out presence of the injured Galligan. Wonder what 2s look like as maybe other injuries.

After a tough loss to Newington, Shore face a critical moment in their season. While the defeat was disappointing, it's also an opportunity to reflect and reset. Maintaining high morale will be essential in the lead-up to the crucial fixture against Riverview. I believe this group has the resilience and talent to bounce back, after a tough string of losses. That being said, the upcoming match against Riverview becomes an unexpected season defining game, hopefully this match will serve as a turning point in Shores season, allowing them to get the wheels rolling for the remainder of the season.
