I am hearing a lot about kinross being unlucky this season which is definitely true but i also cant look away from the fact that stannies has been also, loosing just after the buzzer against pius and only missing a kick to win it against st pats, and in the first half of both auggies and oakhill showed some real competition, i think this weekend will be a really close game i cant even tell who will win it!!!

I'm trying to find out how this all works but I've been told that once the crossover games with CAS have been played, then there will be a semi and final for ISA teams only (and I dont know if this is for all grades or just the As). Whether the crossover games points will be used to tally who plays who i cant work out. I suspect not - so if that's the case, the finishing order after this Saturday will determine the ISA semi finalists.

It's all a bit up in the air at the moment and to be honest, given that this is year one of this new format, I suspect there will be issues but it will be intriguing nonetheless.

auggies were no macth hahahah first of all shocking kicking, had a penatlty goal right in front missed both, couldnt handle the steam roll from the fowards lead by the beast of a number 8 and the precision from number 10 i promise augs will get pumped next time

The crossover games have no impact on the ISA competition. It's a seperate competition. The ISA finishing order after this Saturday locks in the semifinalists for the ISA playoffs. The ISA playoffs are for all the grades. There is even play off games for the teams that don't make the top 4. Everyone is travelling to Stannies for the semi's and Gregs for the grand finals.

Thanks very much for this. It will be great for the smaller schools to have their moment too.
So really, Isa rugby this year is 3 comps...
1) first past the post
2) casisa cup
3) Isa semis and finals

I kind of wish the crossover games meant something more (other than bragging rights). We'll see how it ends up.

Looking forward to it regardless.

The first past the post doesn't count this year. The ISA added the semis and finals so there is a proper finale to the season.

ISA have been pushing to have a crossover comp. with CAS for years. ISA have been getting stronger so they want to match up against stronger schools to start gaining some recognition.

For example: In the Auggies vs Scots games this year Auggies won 8-8 games. Most of the games were rained out.
1st XV St Augs won 36-5.
2nd XV St Augs won 24-19.
16A St Augs won 45-7.
15A St Augs won 36-0.
14A washed out.
13A St Augs won 53-0.
13B St Augs won 66-10.
13C St Augs won 59-5.
13D St Augs won 88-0.

Great game of 1st xv Rugby between St Pius 33 v St Augustines 35 yesterday.It went down to the wire.St Pius don't get the accolades that other teams get but from what I have seen this year they should of beaten both Oakhill and St Augustines. They did it the hard way against Kinross and Stannies and ran away with against St Pats.Its great to see the efforts of the coaching staff reaping the rewards of the Rugby program at Pius.This is a great competition in 2025. Really looking forward to seeing how this new CAS/ISA format and finals series goes.Its great for Rugby.

Also note this - Kinross 3rds Played Stannies 4ths and Kinross 4ths played Stannies 5ths (Scots All Saints Firsts Lost to Stannies 3rds and thus the matches fell in this way there after.)
