The draw between Churchie and TSS was a surprise.
I really think TSS is gonna dissapoint this year, Churchie played alright but it was nothing majorly better then there pre-season performances, I predicted a Chuchie win and they shouldve won, Poor fullback missed that kick, at the death.

Who was a surprise with how they played in round 1? The good the bad and ugly?
Hey Harry, managed to get to watch the Nudgee Vs State High game on the weekend and I'll tell you what, the Morree madness Ben Didonna, number 6 was absolutely clinical. Simply couldn't fault the kid. He ran with vigour and intensity and tackled with hatred and pure psychoticness, he was simply exceptional and will go under the radar the whole season as just a kid who goes pigging, but he is far more than that.

Also managed to watch the Churchie vs TSS replay, although the TSS team were dominant and looked like winning Churchie somehow managed to pull off a miracle and propel themselves into a tie with a late try from some kid who I haven't heard much of. Now don't get me wrong the kick to win the game for them wasn't right in front, but goodness me you gotta make that. Angus Underwood I believe his name is, obviously cracked under the pressure and simply couldn't handle the mental aspect of the kick. Anyways just some of my thoughts on the weekend. Keen to hear some of yours.

Hard to look past Nudgee colleges twin towers, 0 chock malfunctions and a dominant lineout were a huge help in their victory. Declan “dropkick” McGuire will be one to watch if he doesn’t get dropped to the 3rds next week.

Terrace completely fell to pieces once IGS worked out the weaknesses - poor workrate from the forwards who seemed to be playing for themselves when they could be bothered getting involved - some did a lot of watching of the ruck. Masterclass from Tyson Walker, seems to have finally stepped up to his potential.

Hey guys, who in your opinion had the performance of the week? It's a hard decision to make, as I cannot seem to single one out, as there were many stellar performances on. Would love to hear what you guys have to say.
