Joeys coped flak a few years ago when one of their players didn’t shake hands at the start of the game, none of kings players did today and I guess that is amplified by a fews actions at the end. Yes two players were at each other but it doesn’t excuse poor sportsmanship
This was odd and it may explain Kings mind set with all the niggle.
Before a game. Both sides run out, shake hands and go it kick off formation.
I then see this video of Joeys walking out, taking the place on the half way line with Kings already in place.
The ref told Joeys not to stay there.
Did the two teams do the formalities elsewhere??

They were confused as why Kings did this.
No explain, no apology either.
They called ONE Joeys player a grub for HIS personal decision to not shake hands (and I agree, not good) but to allow an ENTIRE 1st XV to NOT shake hands runs counter to the AAGPS ethos. Black day for Kings

I was filthy the try was disallowed too, but on the replay his left elbow is on touchline as he crossed. Very 50/50 call
The entire Kings team not shaking hands is disgraceful (as was the Joeys boy Young a few years ago)
The kings crowd heckling, whistling, yelling the second last penalty was disgusting, but the Kings teachers obviously got them under control for the last penalty with only one idiot whistling.
Good win by Riverview, tough team. But even if they win the premiership, to lose to Joeys on the final day will hurt

Tight game in the 2XV but Shore squarely won it, back end dominance could have been more costly if not for a couple mistakes.
1XV Newington was just too big for the Shore boys, interesting isnt it… You can only train size to a certain extent. Newington must have spent lots of money on these boys…buying them choccies and feeding them up with red meat from the dining hall.

Becomes a question for the coach and captain. They set the tone and it can quickly flow down which would be terrible.
Seems as though there may have been a bit too much fire and brimstone.

Even as a view supporter, I have refereed before and the View vs Scots game was the most one-sided refereed match I have seen either in-person or on tv. The conduct of the referee and touch judges was simply atrocious, and I expect them to be formally reviewed for such incompetence.
Scots were outclassed across every facet of the game, except perhaps some occasional breakdown work, the only try they got was the result of 3-4 questionable penalties letting them march unopposed down the field, to make a maul that lasted ~20-30 seconds and stopped multiple times. Meanwhile 2 View tries were "held-up" because the ref was in the wrong position and couldn't see even though both had been scored.
Every loose ball from View, even the backward ones, were knock ons. Any engagement in the ruck by Scots, even if dubious and for less than half a second, was holding onto the ball. High tackles, offsides, were never called in Views favour despite many instances of both occurring. Under pressure Scots put the ball down in their own tryline, there's some biff, and all of a sudden its a penalty kick to Scots? The entire game was quite literally a scandal and I hope the referee in charge is reviewed and given appropriate punishment for what was the worst game of refereeing I have ever seen in my life.

Yeah a few lads took the bait. But I will say, a championship side (view is looking like one) can eek out a win when things don't go their way. Sometimes winning ugly is what is required

It's all in the past now, I guess. And nothing against any of the boys who had no control of it, but with Scots coming almost last, they had nothing to play for besides some pride, so therefore my pervading question is: Why?
There seemed to be a bit of a pattern with Scots at home this year, and I must admit I hadn't paid much attention to it until I saw it with my own eyes. I wonder if it was the same guy? And then my next thought was: "They wouldn't, would they?".
Well at least the Kings Headmaster was not there to witness it. Heard he is on the way out recently.
