We need every goal kicker we can get. Why didn’t he kick against Italy?Sualli is the best goal kicker in the team. Let him kick.

It goes back to the start of the season when Joe didn’t pick Skelton and Valetini to play test 1 against the Lions, they were both ready and raring to go and he held them back.
3. Feels the most likely result? The rankings equation this week is a bit more interesting for us. We won't lose any points for any loss but Scotland and Fiji are hot on our tail.
1. The best result for us is that we beat Ireland by any amount and Scotland beat Argentina by any amount. That would see us move up to 6th.
2. Even if we thrash Ireland (16+), if Argentina beat Scotland by any amount we will stay in 7th, but will be a lot closer to them.
3. If we lose, Scotland will relegate us to 8th if they beat Argentina
4. If we lose and Fiji have a draw or better v France, they also will overtake us.
5. In the highly unlikely event that we thrash Ireland and Fiji thrash France, France will drop below us.
6. The England v NZ match could have big implications up the top of the rankings, but no impact to us.
No, they were not…
I think skeleton was held back. From what he was saying he seemed ready to go but they were being cautious. We don’t really know I guess.
Interesting that we have these resting protocols in SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) (Super Rugby Pacific) but then we end up getting fatigued anyways. To me, I’d rather see players omitted if they’re injured or out of form and that’s it!
The new guidelines state that players should:
Play no more than 30 games in a single season or six consecutive match weeks
Have a dedicated 5 week off season break
Be entitled to minimum rest periods should they be selected for international fixtures of at least 1 week.
Across a year, have 12 weeks of non-contact time
Communicate thoroughly between Club & Country
Wouldn’t the current season mean that the first three of those quoted points happen automatically? At an overall level, the injury surveillance data is really clear.
If you don't rest players over the short term (ie don't play too many consecutive matches) and the long term (don't play too many matches in a season), then some of them are going to get injured.
You don't know which ones, but if it's not managed, it will be more than it should be.
I expect we will see test players rested through Super Rugby on 2026.
They track them pretty well now. Have to remember most of these guys load during the year is on the training paddock and you can make adjustments there that can allow greater rest.At an overall level, the injury surveillance data is really clear.

I don't think JOC (James O'Connor) has the legs to start a test, great to finish off a cameo but ..............................Not Picking JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor) for the Lions and starting Lynagh was a big mistake.
