University will miss Mike Harris, he was pretty damn good for them on the weekend. Who's their 12 btw? He took alot of pressure off Harris by doing alot of ball playing.

My guess for starting back line:
9 . Genia
10. Cooper
11. Digby
12. Tapuai
13. Harris
14. Shipperly
15. Lance/morahan

At the end of 2013 though I predict a mass exodus..cant keep, that much talent, that happy, for that long

Would you really play Mike Harris in a position that hes not familiar with? and you would drop Anthony Fainga'a totally? not sure if you thought this one through.....
Also Mckibbon played reserve grade because hes only been training for a week and reggies lost their Half back who played full back for Prems. Agree Campbell has been good so will be keen to see what the coaches do now. Tough game to call this weekend, the filth have had the wood on the students in recent encounters, but finals are a different beast. Hookers are the Key for both teams, Chibba Hanson and Andrew Coady are close to the best players in the comp IMO. Dragons to beat GPS in a tough one.... I can see a repeat of last years grand final coming.

I would suggest its because date Campbell the current press nine ideas been one of there best players and shining lights this season.

He also may of had a chance but chose to make. B t extra pocket money playing for eastern suburbs in Shute shield and only came up when they got knocke dout of finals
Yep wondered about that TD, I only watched a bit of Prem game on sat, and certainly didn't see any weaknesses around 9!! Actually surprised McKibbon allowed to play at all if he has plyed club rugby in Sydney, hope filth have got all transfers etc in place before finals. I would of thought that contracted players being able to play finals would of only been Qld contracted players, otherwise clubs can just bring in Rebel, Tahs players etc for finals!!!
Just something QRU probably need to tighten up on at some stage.

That's funny as some people noted that Harris seemed like any other club player, as appose to a Wallaby. For the record I think he is a very good player, but an inside centre, who runs off people rather then a Fly Half who has to make all the decisions.

I just assumed that was a typo by TD putting Harris at 13....

I did some editing on iPad and swapped taps and Harris by accident. But still I wouldn't mind seeing it. I think Harris would be a decent 13 and everyone says taps is a 12..........I am gonna roll the dice and stand by that one.....

In regards to McKibbon playing first grade for Brothers on the weekend I think Logan would have a case to take to the QRU. All contracted players are required to play Premier Rugby. I am sure if Logan were to make the finals due to a change in result more would have been made about this.

Love Finals Footy!!

I think this weekend’s games are going to be crackers. I think Uni will get the better of Brothers as they are on the slide with both Murphy brothers out I think they have lost most of their attacking flair.

In the other game GPS vs Bank....I think this will be a great game. I know alot of people are tipping the Bank and yeah they are a good team that have been playing well. However I think GPS have been building momentum over the last month and they have looked slick in attack putting alot of points on teams. But the most promising thing I have seen is their work in defences...I think they have only let in 2 tries in the past 3 games!! They have a big pack and from what I have seen are the most physical team at the breakdown at the moment. I think if they can disrupt the Bank at the breakdown and get them going backwards there could be a GPS win on the cards.

They have some key players in key positions that have finals/ big game experience which I think is also be key to getting them around the park.

It is actually a growing market in rugby. I know there is a big tournament every couple of years, the Bingham Cup, that is the World Championship of Gay rugby. I found a few links below.
Bruce McLean, from Ruggermatrix America fame, was a big advocate for promoting 7's in the gay community. He mentioned in a podcast a few years ago that the pink dollar could drive investment in the game in the USA. I think it's a good idea although I'm sure it may ruffle a few feathers if it was done in Australia.

I don't understand why they have to have a gay association and gay specific games. I think that is seperating them more than bringing them into the rugby community. Gays should feel (be allowed to feel) comfortable playing with a team no matter what the sexual orientation of the other players.

I think the rules vary depending on which franchise or association you are contracted with. I know some players this year who had been playing in the French Top 14 (I think thats what its called) and now have contracts back in Australia with various Super Rugby teams but have been playing 2nd and 3rd grade for clubs in Sydney.

Sunnybank vs GPS will be an arm wrestle but I think Sunnybank will eventually overpower GPS expect by the 65th minute GPS forwards to beout on their feet, there is only so long that their forwards can withstand the titanic impact of players Afu & Alo-Emile and sunnybanks reserves a of a better calibre than GPS.
GPS will hold out but the floodgates will open.

Brothers will have to hope that there forwards will find the warrior inside and dismantle the university pack (which is a big ask) Andrew Coady will need to be at his workhorse best and Kirwan Sandy & Ted Postal will need to show the skill that have had them looked at by super 15 provinces and earned them ARU Academy Spots. Simon Price is going to have the arduous task of spearheading the crucial task of neutralising the Uni backrow which has been running rampant the last few weeks off the back of the rampaging Curtis Browning and Matt Arvier.
If brothers can get there mobile forwards going and the pistons pumping space should open up for Dave Campbell do what he does best and exploit the gaps created by tired pigs. The Brothers backs are never going to outclass university without their talsmanic gingers in Dallan or Damon Murphy, & with the red heavies sporting fire power like the Morahan brothers in the centres chances are they will have their work cut out for them. But players Like Pyers & Taikato-Simpson have shown that they are able to exploit even the tiniest of opportunities & I feel that any backline threat brothers can muster will fall squarely on their shoulders.

Did Rob Simmons play for the Dragons last week? They said he did on the Reds wrap up video, any chance of him coming back late for this weekend?

I don't neccesarily agree with that statement about the reserves. This weekend on the bench GPS have Matt Blain, Alex Soutar, Pama Fou and Pat Smith. All of those guys would have started more than half the season in the run on side for Premier Grade and are very good players. Yes, Sunnybank have good depth as well by getting a few Super Rugby players back in the lineup recently but there isn't a huge difference in the benches. I think Sunnybank would be more keen to get on top with their starting team rather than hope a strong bench determines the outcome of the match because in my humble (and slightly biased) opinion the GPS bench will have plenty to offer.

Maybe in the backs my man of that i have no doubt but my comments is that Sunnbybank will take this game to the trenches and fight it on the frontline through there forwards. One only need look at the Banks bench to see this goign for a 5/2 split.....GPS los enothign in the backs but i doubt they will be getting much of a chance and I imagine they will be quite battered as well as the bank seem to like deploying Alo-emile, Afu and blomfield off the flyhalf.

GPS are in this game as long as there pack is

yes Simmo played last week for the Bank. He isnt in the program for this weekend so dont think so. Imagine Wallabys will keep him in perth till game day as back up.
