Maybe the referee ruled that the tap was not taken from the mark.

In any case under the LAWS of rugby the referee is the sole judge of law and fact on the field.

One day some of you will get some wisdom - if you are adults stop living your past glories of lack of them through your children. If you are young eventually you will grow wise enough to understand that referees are not organised to cause you to lose. A little respect for referees goes a long way. Can't recall a day when boys wanted to argue the point with referees more than I did today!

Way too many yellow and red cards to BBC boys this weekend. Poor discipline can cost games. How dumb.

In terms of any racial slurs, obviously RedBlack was a player in the game because he says there were none. Racial taunts are grubby and socially unacceptable. If there is any substance to it take it up officially and hopefully there will be some honour from the responsible school. At least that's how it should work - if there is any honour.

Wasn't on the field personally but I know one of the boys who was and there was definately no racial abuse-atleast any that was heard by the players on the field
Edit: Enough of this now, lets get back to the rugby

Anyone know how long it has been since a GT win at Ross, or against Nudgee at all? Terrace have had good form and I recon it'll be a close one at Ross next weekend.

Thanks FF (Folau Fainga'a) for the reply dont think im in either category but as a ref of more junior games like to think Im across the rules. Presumed that was the ruling but If not on the mark would allow it to be retaken but not change the intention of the penalty which is what happened. Have no other inquiry than future interpretation during a game i may be reffing

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Whenever Terrace feels they have a shot at Nudgee they usually get touched up.

This year should be different though - Terrace has looked clinical in all their wins so far.

Terrace are definitely on the rise and will be right up there in 2014 but Nudgee just has to much class over the paddock. Not to mention the fortress that is Ross Oval

One thing surprised me today. It happened in the 70th minute of the 1st XV game at Tennyson. Winger motoring down the wing looking like he was away, when 110kg 15yo No 8 for BBC flies across the field and bundles him into touch to end the game. Well done big fella.

No8 for BBC was 15??? He looked like he could have been in his early 20s... is he in grade 10 or 11?

If Terrace play like they did today, they will give Nudgee a great run for their money - and as for the fortress - Churchie seemed to find it quite easy to sort out "the fortress that is Ross Oval" - they didn't even have to knock on the front door !!

However terrace dont have the big game players such as Mason, Tunavasu and Perese, who seemingly get up for the big games. As demonstrated at nudgee and today against TSS.
Terraces drought to continue!!!

Disagree. Having seen both Churchie and Terrace they are similar structures. Terrace certainly were way more clinical than Churchie and didn't give many opportunities. GT to surprise NC.

BBC vs GT match report:

From the start GT looked to have dominated in the backs, not letting BBC out of their half for about the first 10 min. Fowards on the other half were matched up fairly evenly in most of the first half. BBC giving away a string of penalties and GT converted 1 to make it 3-0. 15 min in BBC second rower gets sin binned for repeat offences from the team (offside). GT then run in their first try making it 10-0. Apart from the late 10-15 min in the first half, it was fairly matched up with GT then running in 2 more tries to make it 17-5 at halftime. Second half GT came out much stronger than BBC running in 2 tries before BBC ran in their second to make it 29-15 (BBC 1 penalty conversion). GT starting to dominate mostly in fowards and backs. With the game coming to an end GT kept the intensity as BBC dropped theirs, several mistakes from BBC let GT run in 1 more and BBC came back to late to leave it 35-22, star winger Noel McClean defiantly making a difference scoring that one. BBC looked to lack go foward, missing Bronson was devastaing, also Tiaan in the backs let GT 13 run all day and defend easily against Quick.

Stand out performances, BBC #12 #21 and GT #7 #10 #5 and #1
