This forum is definitely degenerating with time.
It's enjoyable to read meaningful criticism of players, why they are under-performing, and how they might improve.
But when you get remarks like: Player A played like shit,
or player B is pathetic in defense, of player C can't scrum, you really don't want to read much more. Especially as these are guys who are playing for Australia, and who are giving their all.
Possibly the moderators are at fault here. A remark that adds absolutely nothing to the forum should perhaps best be removed.

Yep, the excuses are embarising. I think many Wallaby fans will feel that way.
Plenty of areas the Wallabies need massive improvement but I just can't help but liking the way the Bokke are playing and it's good, smart rugby.
Van de Merve was a goose for the leading elbow but it was a carbon copy of Battleship a couple of weeks ago. Etzebeth will be highly decorated by the time his career is over. Just a fantastic player for such a young age. I know De Tout gets the praise but I think the best prospect to form an awsome partnership with him in the future is De Jarger. That's just my point of view. A big improver has been Steyn. He is controlling the game well and your attack has been pretty good also.

1. Other than Moore we have no real mongrel in the forwards - we've lacked this essential ingredient for years and the Boks and AB's dominate us in nearly all contests as a consequence. The Boks pack are not only physically imposing they are all hard nuts and will do whatever it takes to win just as the AB forwards have done for decades.
2. As sad as it may sound both the Boks and AB's players seem to value the privilege of wearing their respective country's colours so much more than the Wobs. Just look at their emotions and the way they react when they score - better still listen to the emotion in their voices when they talk about the honour and privilege bestowed upon them each time they are selected to play.
3. As good a player as Michael Hooper can be he is far too small to make the impact required of a 7 in present day international rugby - he's barely bigger than some of the 9's playing at international level.
4. Folau is not a 15 and will remain so whilever he displays a reticence to kick the ball - he just doesn't appear comfortable with the task and lacks the confidence needed and gained by growing up playing at 11, 14 or 15 - Australia can't afford to leave him there whilst he learns the fineries of rugby's tactical kicking. Back to 14 for him or better still to 13.
5. Cooper has had his opportunities in the 10 jumper at international level and is out of his depth against the big 3 teams - time for Bernard Foley to be given his chance.
6. Ben McCalman is a different player when he plays off the bench bringing plenty of agro and go forward - if he knew how to do this for 80 mins he could be an answer at 8 - perhaps he should start and be told that "you're only on for the first 20 mins" to see what happens.
7. Rob Simmons has also had his opportunities at test level and just doesn't make enough of an impact. It's a pity Hugh Pile hasn't been given a go and hopefully he will be included in the UK tour squad. Scott Fardy did some good things in the game and starting him at lock in place of Simmons and ahead of Douglas and Timani has some merit. If Horwill's hammy rules him out of the next game Timani to start in his place.
8. Genia was no better than White when he came on after half time and I was surprised that White was replaced as the 8 blokes in front of him were giving him absolutely no platform to work from.
9. Robinson needs to start at 1 but perhaps needs to be given the same starting instructions as McCalman. Time also for Slipper to be given a shot in the 3 jumper.
10. I don't know that Leali'ifano has made the most of his chances at 12 - I'd be happy for To'omua to be given a shot there or even Kuridrani if there's merit in having a crash runner in closer to suck in their inside backs and get us over the advantage line. Leali'ifano could be an option at 15 together with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper).

Coopers play at first receiver too predictable. When he receives and runs sideways or backwards the ball is going through the back line, when he runs at the line, he looks for the miracle step through holes that usually don't exist or may look for a short offload to someone who gets taken out almost simultaneously. As soon as the defense sees his movements when he receives the ball its to easy for them to counter. His second half play was more encouraging but he needs to run at the line at every opportunity and create some doubt before continuing to the backs or running on, and he needs to do it with some urgency. Some decoy runners to create some options inside or out would help to, but when he goes backwards that's not an option and it puts to much pressure on 12 and the rest of the backline, and you cant blame the forwards for that.
Some schoolboy errors such as White catching a ball with both his feet in the field of play, instead of one foot out which would have given us a restart 35 metres closer to our try line, and the non call for the catch by Folau and CFS which resulted in a knock on are just unacceptable. We are playing with no concentration or intelligence. Kurindrani needs to work on his ball security. Tomane was ineffective. The subbing of Moore for Saia at a line out 10 metres out and momentum in our favour was a tactical error from Link.
Positives -We probably had our best scrum of the year around the 60 minute mark.

IIRC Scott Allen did some analysis on Alexander and I think I'm drawing in that in suggesting that the guys set up is subbies standard- and I apologise to any subbies THPs who think he's not even to that level because you may be right: haven't watched any for a while.

Curiously, it seems only the Wallabies have problems with these new scrum laws. The only thing I'd change is the ref telling 9 when to put the ball in.

My 2 cents worth in regards to the Hooper send off. How is that tackle deemed dangerous play. Hooper went low to effect a copy book tackle and JJ leaps like he was representing SA in high jump. The laws of physics took over and JJ lands awkwardly. Ref then watches the big screen, doesn't listen to the opinion of the TMO and overreacts. In Conclusion, Hooper did not act in a reckless way but has to spend 10 minutes on the pine due to poor officiating.
IMO The quality of refereeing in this RC is worse than form of the wallabies and we keep seeing mistake after mistake, despite the presence of a TMO. We deserve better from these W---kers, its getting beyond a joke.

Don't exactly agree with your team, but the points you make are excellent. I would have kept To'omua at 10 and Lilo at 12 to give them a chance at test level. It was a poor decision to drop To'omua after the AB tests and looks even worse now - QC (Quade Cooper) will never be the answer at test level.

The Saffer attack is much more direct and precise with him at #9.
Battleship didn't have the impact that I was expecting, but our piggies were well beaten by the time he came on. He is still a top notch player. Here's hoping there willbe no reason for the cards to come out of the Refs pocket next week.
Good discipline from the Bokke. I thought after all the initial niggle that it would be on for young and old in the second stanza, but that didn't happen.
Bokke still seemed to relax a little in the second half, and they can't do that next week, otherwise the Darkness will pounce and put 10 or 15 points on the scorebord in no time at all.
While disappointed for the Men in Gold, at least we didn't get done by 35, and we finally got a try although we made that look pretty hard as well.
