depth is something you have to build from the ground up starting from U12 to U13 - and not just in recruiting but more in the quality of your Coaching at these age levels and additional opportunities available ( clinics and tours etc )

It literally takes 3 to 4 years to build genuine depth to a program but only when you focus on the starting line of U12- U13

The reality is....12 , 13 and 14 year old kids are going to be more engaged if their immediate ( upper ) peer levels have a bit of success and there is energy up above

In a lot of ways .....recruitment at the end of the line motivates the existing cohort at the start of the line more than what many may realise , in that , it possibly creates a greater level of desire and competitiveness early to be relevant

wow . i thought BSHS looked good last week
Ominous signs

more like BSHS lack of depth than NC being brilliant.i am sorry but BSHS will be same as last 3 years. their number 1 team will be competitive but if they have injuries it is good night Irene . Real lack of depth in 16s and opens

i know Sua did not play for ACGS and the capt 4 As well as Gunter8 and Number 3 did not play for BBC but neither side will trouble TSS or NC on that form
Farrell Qld 1 last year playing 8 and Croft at 10 for acgs were two best.

as someone else said - the nrl all stars will win the premiership,
Will be a three horse race......GT have formed a strong squad with a good 10 supported by some talented outside backs....IGS have a few new lads to compliment the big and quick side from last year while BSHS have a combined Union (at least 3 or more Div 1 BJRU teams represented) and proven league boys who will transition well....remaining schools will compete hard. Think all schools have netted the 'best of the best' in this age group.....good times ahead.

Quite a turn around for the 14a's, as last year 13's they got run over in similar fashion to this years 13's.
NC15's depth is incredible, some of their kids in the B's would be walk up starts in most other A teams. SH played well, and will have a good forward pack if they can get a few of their boys fitter.

looks like NC for all their denials have a truckload of new boys in under 14 . bshs thrashed them last year.
i went out to East Bne to watch ACGs v BBC. for a team that played 4 or 5 matches in Japan i was very disappointed in BBC. Croft completly outplayed his bbc opposite and the BBC scrum was under pressure. i was expecting big things from BBC 15 because The King gave him a wrap but he did nothing.
it was only when Ikatu came on in 2 nd half that BBC kicked away.ACGS impressed me with a very tall forward pack. and with the giant Sua back should not be discounted.

At Fursden Road yesterday for 15,16 upwards. 15's at a canter as expected. 16's 26-12 to NC, they should have won by 40 at least. BSHS scored a length of the field interception in first couple of mins and then barely touched the ball for rest of half. NC will go close. 1sts was a walk in the park, hard to see anyone beating them...TSS the danger there.

Yes a number of changes from last year's NC 13A team. But no - not one new boy to the school this year. Just a good coach who has selected the best 15 available at the school. Speculate as much as you please..

a 40 point turn around from last year. must be one hell of a coach . Give his name to the Reds . !
if the are any new boys in NC 15 A this year the other schools should do a Scots College (in Basketball in NSW ) and refuse to play on the basis in contravenes the ICFP .( international code of fair play) best junior team i have seen in a decade.

What a ridiculous post. Mate BSHS 13A beat NC nearly 100-0. If you're going to carry on about stacked teams - probably start there..BBC could possibly get a mention also. Your constant dribble about NC is unwarranted. The current 15s added one new player to the age group last year- the fast winger was already at the school playing for the Bs. This year there are no new students in the 15As. Not sure how this set-up warrants reference to the 'ICFP'.
