An awfully quiet thread this season.

On debating matters, Grammar seem to be the strongest heading into the last two debates of the season. I predict wins for their 1sts to 3rd, against Riverview.
High will need to win their debates against Scots in the 1st to 3rds to stay in the running for at least a co-premiership. Scots are going quite well this season, while Iggies not so much.

An exciting and very close competition with so much to debate for in these last two weeks. Grammar, High and Scots dominating in all years.

In a rather surprising upset win Riverview toppled Grammar to get some overdue revenge for the ISDA final (gee guess which school I go to). Nevertheless if they beat High they can still keep the premiership, but will have to settle with sharing it with their friends from High.

HoldingOn, you mentioned Scots going well due to their 3rd speaker. Care to elaborate on that? Who is he?

Shore is having a disappointing season.

Any other results from Friday night across all teams?

I believe that his name is Zach August (not certain)- when I saw them the rest of the team were solid but he was a cut above. He came third in the Lawrence Campbell

Agree with Shore's season but competition is strong this year.

So as usual this week it's High vs Grammar for the Silverware in GPS and as stands now

High 1sts undefeated, Grammar firsts defeated once
I think this will easily go High's way this year their team has been very strong although inconsistent this year (getting knocked out of CHS)

2nds, apparently High second's have lost once? Im unaware of grammar in this division

Apparently High 10A's are undefeated as well so that could be interesting

Congratulations to High 10As for taking out the outright GPS premiership, in light of Grammar's loss on Friday. Good luck to all teams in the final round of the competition, looking like some cracking debates!

Interesting about the thirds... Do thirds debaters in Year 11 every actually move up to second or firsts?

I am not really sure. I thought that most teams had yr 12s in 1sts, yr 11s in 2nds and a mix in 3rds.

Year 11 debaters in 3rds would move up though, so that the yr 10s of now will fit into the Opens teams.

All very confusing stuff, but i guess at the end of the day, it is the best debaters who will make the top teams.

Thought there were only 2 rep teams? Are there supposed to be 3?

I presume the CHS 1sts team consists of Eden Blair, Thomas Shortridge and Max Koslowski. Don't know the last member, although i am guessing Tandee Wang.
