Hearing Manly Oval maybe saved, thankyou to all of you who took the time to sign the petition. There were many, and no doubt the Marlins appreciate the support.

Confirmed.

It was great pleasure to hear from Administrator Dick Persson at the Northern Beaches Council (NBC) meeting last night that he had withdrawn the Manly Council DA 116/2016, lodged on the last day before the Council amalgamation, and that the Deeds of Agreements with the the proposed builder of the Oval car park, Abergeldie, was to be terminated. Also, the Agreement with Athas and Builts, the tenderers for the Whistler Street/ Library site, was to be terminated.

So from my sources Jeremy Paul and Julian Huxley have both applied at Manly. Also Julian Huxley has applied at Penrith and jp has told emus he doesnt want the job.

Any news out of manly re coaching? Im assuming Damien Cummins has stepped down?

Not yet, hoping this week.
Turtle wants the job, good write up in the local rage the other week.
Tough year this year, almost a different back line each, plenty of injuries, and a very odd preseason with JTrain Gym relocating. Allot of small 1%ers had an impact this year. Interesting our last game of the year we went down after the bell to the eventual premiers.

I believe JP & Huxley have applied, and at the end of the year Billy Melrose was very keen as well.

Wonder who the Shute Shield coach is that applied for the Force Head Coach job?

I'd like it to be Simon Cron who lead Norths to their first SS title in 40 odd years and is currently guiding the Rays who are two from two in the NRC. He just seems headed for higher honours. That said, if he misses out I wouldn't mind seeing the Tahs pick him up as an assistant.

If true, the loss of @Belly2Blues will be a major setback for growth, or even retention of the status quo in "Sydney's West".

Few could compare. Hope he, and his skills, are retained within Rugby . . . somewhere.

He wouldn't leave without having another job to go to though. My snouts in the pacific tell me he's going to get a job on the international scene......................................

Cron is a mate of Gibbo's and I think his brother(+/-) is the AB's defensive coach>

He's learning the ropes the right way. He'll be a better coach than those who are parachuted straight from playing to elite level coaching.

Feeling for Julian Huxley with news 3 players have already walked out and more too come. Such a hard job with virtually no players out there.
