Not too many surprises in the squad and I guess i wasnt really expecting any. Nice to see Gleeson and Hooper have been named. Would have been a disservice to the squad to leave them out given their form this year. Also nice to see Swain back in the mix. He has all of the qualities you want in...

    Is Aidan Ross injured?

I was actually wondering the other day which player is the most important in Australian rugby atm and I honestly think it might be AAA. Most other positions there's some decent options, but the drop off from AAA to the other options is looking pretty dire.

I assume if he's named in the training squad, he's fit enough to train

Nice to hear Faessler's in the squad. Was starting to worry he might be unavailable

Not necessarily. But it does suggest that Schidt sees options in the backrow.

Who do you think the 3 LHPs will be then?

So is Alex Hodgman going to be fit in time for the series? If he's out, perhaps there's a decent chance that Aiden Ross gets a call up.

I see yes - well you can see how fucked we would have been if we'd gone with a 6/2. That was extremely unlucky though Has schmidt ever gone with a 6/2 bench?

you might be right. But from memory (which could be wrong) Robbie Deans went with a 6/2 split in the first test in the last lions series and we lost a couple backs in the first half and I think Hooper ended up having to play centre and it kinda fucked us... it's a bit of a role of the dice for sure.

He's definitely in my squad. Just not sure we can fit 2 no.7s in the 23.... unless your going with a 6/2 bench. On that point, If hypothetically you were going to go with Tom Lynagh to start and Donaldson on the bench. You might be able to get away with 6/2 split on the basis that Donaldson can...

Surely there's no chance that Schmidt is picking Kellaway ahead of Potter. For me he's been the most consistent winger from the aussie side.

Yeh good call I forgot he was coming over. Would be a great addition to the squad.

For me the stand out props are easy to prick: LHP - Bell, Hodgman THP - AAA, Nongoor I assume the squad will include 6 props altogether. Gets a bit tougher from there. THP lots of options (Toomaga Allen, Robertson, Tupou, De Luttis). If i was betting man I'd still imagine Tupou will be given...

    Wallabies 2025

I'd go with 4.Willams 5.Frost 6. Wilson 7. McReight 8. Valetini And a bench of 19.LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) 20. Gleeson I think that's pretty close to what Schmidt was going with last year and I think it's a well balanced 2nd row / back row If Wilson is injured I'd probably be minded to chuck either Uru or...
