    Australian Rugby / RA

A big question going forward is why would any well credentialed businessperson want to be on the board if they aren't passionate about rugby? There's clearly significant risk and very little reward.

Does he? He resigned in 2017 over the Western Force being cut but likewise I don't think he had an alternative path forward for RA that didn't involve doing that. He was also on the board for the 5 years before that. Were all the decisions made over that time good ones? The Rugby Australia...

There's a real loser leaves town vibe to this one.

The Wallabies are the driving force behind these contracts. It's intriguing that Petaia doesn't seem to be further up the chain in terms of retention for Rugby Australia though. His injury history is pretty patchy (although he's been far healthier lately than in his first few seasons which is...

    Wallabies 2024

I haven't seen any of Kerevi's recent play but it should certainly be expected that he has significant improvement on his repaired ACL in 2024 compared to 2023.

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

Banning headers is soccer is purely a juniors thing isn't it? In some countries it already exists up to under 10s or under 12s and I think the Australian discussion is potentially to around under 15s. I can't see it ever extending to adults. Maybe there's a direction on how many headers per...

    Wallabies 2024

I'm not saying that Foketi is ahead of Kerevi. I'm saying that he's an option at 12 in a Wallabies squad and has been ahead of Paisami in selections for a little while now. He obviously needs to make a successful return from injury but there's also a fair bit of time to do so.

    Wallabies 2024

Why isn't Skelton available in July? I would assume Lalakai Foketi will be back in the frame if he returns in a couple of weeks as an option at 12.

    Queensland Reds 2024

Same injury Kurtley Beale suffered in 2016 and Izaia Perese in 2022. Pretty rare compared to ACL ruptures etc.

Surprisingly good from Fittler and Thurston here. Absolutely unsurprising that Gallen doesn't have an issue with it.

    Lions Tour 2025

Out of interest I looked up what I paid for the Sydney test in 2013. My tickets were the second lowest category from memory and were $180 each. While the tickets are obviously expensive I don't think they are outrageous for a premier event in the sport in a fairly high cost country.
