Only that the summons was issued today.
It's all such a beat-up.
Rugby Australia needed to do what they did. You can't just have contracted players heading overseas and doing a media spot for their new team without talking to anyone first.
Foketi is absolutely fine being upset about it and...
I wholeheartedly disagree.
Watching old games the overwhelming feeling is how slow everything is and how much time is spent with the ball stuck in the breakdown.
Debuted for the Wallabies at the same age as Allan Ala'alatoa (age 22).
I don't think there's any reason not to think Nonggorr has a similar trajectory. As you said, he's improved each year. He's got the right frame to carry bulk while still being athletic.
The only option to avoid that is having 4 pools of 6 with only the top two from each going through but that means playing 5 pool games and makes the tournament too long.

While it's frustrating that it will cost Rugby Australia money, it's probably a smart move from Foketi.
It's unlikely to make any sense for Rugby Australia to defend the claim. The amount owing to Foketi for the remainder of his contract is unlikely to be more than what it would cost to defend...
With 6 pools, assuming all 6 pool winners make the quarter finals, two of the quarter finals have to be pool winner vs pool winner so it does just boil down to luck of the draw.
I'm speculating entirely but I would guess there's some sort of equalization clause that allocates a certain amount of the local broadcast rights from the other teams against what is owing to them from the ITV deal.
I agree with your first point and certainly the boy who cries wolf element to it makes it harder to take seriously.
I was just raising the perspective that maybe the request isn't purely travel related and that they view playing in Tokyo in July as a significant part of the issue.
The point...
