A big question going forward is why would any well credentialed businessperson want to be on the board if they aren't passionate about rugby? There's clearly significant risk and very little reward.
Does he? He resigned in 2017 over the Western Force being cut but likewise I don't think he had an alternative path forward for RA that didn't involve doing that. He was also on the board for the 5 years before that. Were all the decisions made over that time good ones?

The Wallabies are the driving force behind these contracts. It's intriguing that Petaia doesn't seem to be further up the chain in terms of retention for Rugby Australia though.

I'm not saying that Foketi is ahead of Kerevi. I'm saying that he's an option at 12 in a Wallabies squad and has been ahead of Paisami in selections for a little while now.
He obviously needs to make a successful return from injury but there's also a fair bit of time to do so.
Out of interest I looked up what I paid for the Sydney test in 2013. My tickets were the second lowest category from memory and were $180 each.
While the tickets are obviously expensive I don't think they are outrageous for a premier event in the sport in a fairly high cost country.
