Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

I think Donaldson should start, and tate should come on around 50 minutes rather than later. We had some good ball runners come on in the second half which is probably what we were missing. Will be bolstered by valetini/skelton/gleeson.

Yeah strange call, considering he’s not even a big 10

Shaun Stevenson (Shaun Stevenson) is quietly having a really solid game

Agree to disagree. I feel that the force with a number of wallabies back (far more released from wallabies camp), didn’t look as good. But either way I think there’s some good to take from these Aussie teams.

1 point, and the first lions try wasn’t exactly amazing. Also two tries to the reds. I’m also NSW so no skin in that game. Reds also had more wallabies missing.

Look at the halftime: FOR - 7 BIL - 20 RED - 12 BIL - 21 The reds were clearly better than the force. FH was super competitive. I don’t like comparing the second half with the difference in subs being hardly playing for Super Rugby to great national players.

I feel that the second half of these games are somewhat not comparable. The difference between bench depth is staggering. Guys who are hardly playing for their super side compared to regular starters/great players for their national sides.

All great players get away with slightly bending the rules. Think mccaw etc

I’ve thought he’s been grwat defensively. Grwat contact and slowing down the ball/ruck.

I really think JAS/Ikitau centre pairing is one of the best in the world. Ikitau was already one of the best centres in the world, and JAS is so explosive and exciting

The lack of an experienced half is hurting the reds

yep, Len ikitau is a world class centre and one of the best defensively. Love having the both of them on the field.

    Queensland Reds v British & Irish Lions - Wednesday, 2 July 8:00pm

Sure, but also the squad make up trends towards a fast game - looking at the overall player types selected. They will most likely play quickly and expansively. To say that these games won’t have any translation to how they will play against the wallabies isn’t realistic, considering they are...

    Queensland Reds v British & Irish Lions - Wednesday, 2 July 8:00pm

The lions play a very quick, expansive game. Whilst there have been a large number of handling errors, it’s to be expected with their game plan. They’ve got an unreal power game that they can always utilise. Reds haven’t had their best game imo. Lions first try was suspect. And they’ve also...
