Yes there was a prelim U18 Academy - this was part of the talent ID process for the GEN BLUE guys. It didn't guarantee you a spot in the GEN BLUE Academy but gave selectors a chance to look at players.

Western Force play their first Academy game tomorrow against NSW Gen Blue Academy - which is one of the selection trial games for the eventual Australian Schools & U18s.... so they probably more focused on that.

Unfamiliar would depend on where your involvement in the game is :) There are some truly talented boys in this team and a great opportunity for them to be included in the pathway. Hopefully a couple go a whole lot further.
