Selectors who are experienced should be able to see the calibre of certain boys if they indeed had the skill to do so. Not hard to pick certain boys who could play at a different level.

I find it amazing that the boys from TAS, Grammar and High are always overlooked in anyone's teams for GPS. I understand that most people don't watch these games and these teams are not as strong as other schools however there must be boys from those schools that would potentially make some 1st...

You are very naive if you think that High don't get chants aimed at them. I have heard many chants and some that I wouldn't share in public that were incredibly racist.

Thanks for your comments. I believe you will see a very different team this year. High are playing Shore 3rds in trials through the holidays. It will be interesting to see how they go.

That’s the plan. The school and the Rugby P&C has finally invested in outside coaches and this is playing a big part in recruitment and a renewed focus on Rugby.

yes... only 22 players in total. There are only 6 boys from year 12 I believe. It is amazing that the coaching staff can pull a team together. Most players play in positions that are not suited to them. Next year is looking better for numbers however there still won't be enough for two teams.

As an insider at SBHS I can advise that the intake is solely based on State Government guidelines. There is no way to vary this whatsoever. They have to accept any boy that applies and is successful in the selective exams. Each boy and parent is told upon entry that they must play sport on...
