    Round 13: Brumbies v Rebels, Sat 12th May @7:40pm

Speight has been a great clubman but his defence has become so bad that it's like he's never seen a game of rugby before. If you count the crazy late tackle against the Tahs he's probably come up with 5 or 6 of the worst defensive plays in brumbies history this year. He can't be picked any...

    Brumbies 2017

Surely for a competition completely lacking in teams with history and rivalries with meaning cutting the Brumbies would be crazy. Even if Canberra/Monaro is a small market, playing the Brumbies is something Waratah/Reds fans/media actually care about. Those games are rare times super rugby...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

De Allende absolutely terrorised the Brumbies the last game, he was fantastic. I think he is going to cause a few probs.

    Hurricanes V Brumbies Semi-Final, Sat 27th June

After 15 minutes all I could think was "holy sh*t, these guys are good". Congrats to the Canes, they were fantastic. NZ teams seem to be able to attack with straight running and accurate long passing to both sides just so much better than the rest of us. Everyone in their team was both a...

    Hurricanes V Brumbies Semi-Final, Sat 27th June

What is most likely to influence referees is the selective replays used by the home TV crew. I've always thought this was an issue (like everyone else) but watching the Brumbies/Stormers last weekend was the most I've ever noticed/been shocked by it because the Aussie commentary was incongruous...

    Stormers v Brumbies Qualifier

Such a great performance. I thought White, Lilo and Mogg were also really great and directed the team and play brilliantly. Pocock is just a monster (ably assisted by Moore, Fardy and Ita) and having Sio back compared to the last time v the Stormers was massive. Hurricanes are a great team...

    Lions vs Brumbies @ Ellispark

I thought Arnold and especially Ita were fantastic. Both are in the great tradition of champions the Brumbies have signed/brought back out of nowhere. Ita brings that South African style brutalness in close contact that makes a real difference. He is always crunching people close to the ruck...

    Brumbies 2016

Fair enough on the high ball - particularly lately he's been really good - I guess I was just bundling it in with general high levels of turnovers in contact which I find frustrating. I don't agree with the kicking though - he is a very long kicker of the ball (which is a massive gift I agree)...

    Stormers vs Brumbies @ Newlands

Just so disappointing. Once again good enough to be right in it but not to win. Stormers were diabolical in the first half, if we were a better side we'd have been out of sight. Our scrum is a weakness without Sio but we don't seem to recognize that. Despite being regarded as good kickers...

    Brumbies 2016

I don't see how Coleman over Mogg is going to mean we lose anything in catching high balls and defence. Not really strong points of Mogg's. I think Coleman is a fantastic player, I would take this outcome every day. Given the post world cup exodus that seems to happen i think we have a...

    Brumbies 2015

Why do people think we don't win the games like the Tahs game on the weekend or generally lack that something extra to take us from being solid contenders to a team that looks like a title winner? I look at our team and i think it is very good on paper with some genuine champions at this...

    Kurtley Beale

I can't believe that the gist of that article is that a man, who allegedly sent a vile message about a woman, is going to use the fact she called him a pig after he did it, as a defence/mitigant of his actions. That article was actually published. I feel like getting in a ball and crying.

Waratahs v Brumbies, SFS Saturday 26 July

I completely agree with this. If rugby was covered/scrutinsed as much as other major sports there would be enormous scrutiny over consistently leaving McCabe out for both Mogg and Lilo. McCabe was brilliant when he started earlier in the year and we've never replicated that punch in attack...

NRC Law Variations - have your say

@Braveheart I hear what you're saying, and as a Brumby fan subjected to Jake White's love of Jesse Mogg taking rubbish penalty shots from 50 out all last year, God knows I agree they aren't guaranteed points. But I use the 50-out penalty analogy as an example of the extremeness of the outcome...

NRC Law Variations - have your say

G'day all, Apologies if this idea has been raised before but it came to me like a vision while watching the Reds game last night. What about, if all current penalty offences committed by a team on attack (with the exception of violent play - i.e. starting a fight when you have the ball)...
