Brumbies v Force Rd2 Saturday 22 February GIO Stadium, Canberra 7:35pm

The extra size has given him a lot more punch on attack. McReight is still the more complete 7 for his link play and over the ball work, but if Tizzano starts getting more pilfers he'll be right up there for the Wallabies spot.

    Waratahs 2025

Talatiana the dark horse breakout player for mine. Was awesome at the u20's but got sidelined with injury last season.

    England v Wallabies, Twickenham, Sun 10th Nov 2:10AEDT / 1:10AEST

He looks like he's carrying a number of injuries and is overweight. Probably needs to be on full time rehab, diet & cardio for a few months next year.

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

Fuck I wish Lolesio would run onto the ball. Him standing still and shovelling the ball adds absolutely nothing to our attack.

People will turn on the coaches for this but the reality is the quality of your coach only makes a +/- 10% difference over your base. If teams are close to evenly matched that can make all the difference, but the reality is our base is at least 60% worse than the All Black's.

Might be the people you're talking to. Watched it with a bunch of casual sports fans, was a lot of fun.

I refer you to the Kiwi expats part of my comment.

There's nothing to recommend, it's fucked. Professional rugby in Aus is a terminally ill patient dying a slow, slow death. If forced I would suggest going to everyone on the AFR rich list and literally begging them for a 10 yr investment in a domestic league. I would have this league be...

This is Rugby Australia's original sin. From the start parochial state administrators have had too much influence over the national direction of the game. There's no no way to change this unless an entirely 3rd party pops up to create a professional league outside the constraints of the NSWRU...

This is a fair point. Rugby Australia (and the state unions) have somehow managed to take the game backwards despite the improving international context. Truly impressive levels of incompetence.

That's going to happen regardless. Rugby Union needs some radical overhauls to not be dead in the water inside 15 yrs.

I fail to see what point you're trying to make

No they don't. Only kiwis expats and a quickly aging group of boomer blazers from Randwick care about NZ super teams. The rest of Australia wouldn't be able to point at Christchurch on a map.

There are no options - professional rugby in Australia is currently in the middle of a death spiral. We can't stick with Super because it's a terrible product and we don't have enough upfront capital to go with domestic, which would be the better option long term.
