no.5 Fergus Gillian was a beast, could tell the line out quality significantly dropped when he went off as he seemed to be the caller. Tight 5 kept Aus in the game. Need to get the real backs on next game

Southport V Church this weekend will be interesting to see the clear form centre of the comp Mason King matched up against relative newcomer Frankie Goldsborugh. King will most definitely dominate but it is interesting to see by how much.

Word has it Southport has a new centre in the form of a fellow called Billy Tonkin who has been tearing it up in the Mal Meniga cup for Burleigh u18’s. It is unclear whether he will be playing inside or outside but be sure to listen for the back fence calls when he inevitably makes a line break...
