Much more exciting with Meredith at 10 and Muirhead at 15. Edmed will stifle the backline imo whilst Meredith with an elusive running game will keep defences guessing.

Wallabies v France, 7.00am AEDT Sunday Morning

Not sure JAS is quick enough to play on the wing? Would be handy for the cross kicks though. Has he done enough to be an automatic selection every week?

He’s playing golf with Tom Lynagh both having a laugh that they dodged a bullet by not being selected.

Like numerous other players not given much game time under Schmidt, how will we ever know if Lonergan is up to Test standard or not if never given some serious minutes on the field? Having lost the last 3 Tests, now would be the perfect time to start him. He was one of the form 9’s in Super...

Ireland v Wallabies, Saturday 15/11 (Sunday morning Aus time)

JAS hasn’t the kicking game to play 15 at Test level imo. Neither has Jorgensen and it was another poor selection by Schmidt playing him at the back against Ireland considering the wet and blustery forecast. Lambs to the slaughter…

    Wallabies 2025

Going on previous games, O’Connor would have definitely made a difference coming on to replace Carter Gordon and would possibly have won the game for us with his ability to spark the attack and close out a game. Unfortunately we’ll never know. And Edmed has been a terrible selection by Schmidt...

Considering that Ikitau is also guilty of this, I’d say that they’re both playing to the coaches instructions. If so, I agree with you that they are poor and ineffective tactics from Schmidt.

    ACT Brumbies 2026

I’m with you BR. Meredith is a much more creative 10 than Edmed will ever be and he also possesses an elusive running game. I’m surprised that Larkham would come out so early and confirm Edmed as the starting 10. It probably points to a pretty structured, conservative game plan for season 2026...

    Wallabies v Italy - 9 November

Lolesio was one of the reasons why we lost. He didn’t have his best day out and was replaced for the Wales game.

    Wallabies v Italy - 9 November

If I was Schmidt I’d be selecting my strongest 23 for the Test v Italy and that obviously includes Ikitau. Wouldn’t be taking any chances. Italy will be a sterner assignment than Japan…especially at home. And barring injury, stick with the same 23 for the last two Tests v Ireland and France to...

    Wallabies v England November 1

The game plan under Schmidt is rubbish. I don’t think the ball went across the backline once. Did Jorgo touch the ball? Our attack is too narrow and way too predictable.

    Wallabies v England November 1

“Donno wouldn’t inspire confidence to drive it home either.” Not sure about that. Donaldson came off the bench last year v England and played his part at the death to close out the game for the win including a clever flick on for Jorgo’s winning try. He also did well against Fiji and the Lions...

Geez Edmed is having a dream run after offering very little to date. He really stifles our attack and is too error prone. And a real concern if Stewart is the back up 10. Could get ugly. Hopefully the forwards get the job done.

    Wallabies v Japan 25 Oct

Edmed looked lost at times. No spark whatsoever. And too many aimless kicks. Carter needs to start next week but admittedly a huge gamble.
