Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

A fair point re combinations as successful teams have great combinations and years and years of playing time together. I simply chose a backline with a view to all out attack. Lynagh will only get better with time but I read somewhere that he only ran for 4 metres in 80 mins last weekend. Imo...

Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

My backline for Game 3. Let’s go all out attack which worked very effectively in the 1st half last Saturday but unfortunately the team put the cue in the rack in the 2nd half and only scored 3 points. Way too conservative for mine. Keep doing what was working so well. We have troubled the Lions...

Because his name is Lynagh and is the son of a Wallaby great?

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

Imagine what the critics would be saying if it was Noah that missed those kicks!! Lynagh went ok but he really needs to offer more in attack. He never looked like threatening the line. Too much shovelling standing still which never worried the defensive line.

He can’t run out of sight on a dark night. Too slow and inconsistent.

Lolesio, Donaldson, Edmed and Meredith might have something to say about that. They’ll all be in the running for the WC should their form warrant it.

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

Poor form to question player’s toughness and commitment when they’re playing at the highest level. Every player that steps onto the field has it in spades. But easy I guess when you’re commenting from your lounge room.

Wallabies v Lions Game 2 MCG 26 July

Interesting comments re Lynagh BR which I tend to agree with. I appreciate it was his first Test start but I thought he had no impact on the game whatsoever. Supposedly selected for his superior kicking game, he missed his only conversion, missed a crucial touch finder, gained minimal distance...

    Waratahs 2026

Players are allowed to improve with time and experience. Donaldson and Harrison were thrown in way too soon and had to learn on the run. The Tahs should never have let them go. Donaldson has gone onto bigger and better things and if not for injuries Harrison would have also.

Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

The 10 is the general and playmaker. It is his job to call the plays, organise his forwards including the pods and direct and vary the attack. He has to be vocal and assertive and have great vision.

Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

Yep spot on. If it was Lolesio out there last night he would have copped an absolute barrage of criticism. Way too much hype for Lynagh for this game. He is a fine young player who will develop well with time but the way the media hyped him up was comical. He had his moments last night but was...

Wallabies v Lions, 19 July Suncorp

Our young playmakers don’t play nearly enough top level rugby to develop to the level that we all demand. 14 or 15 games (with some of those being only 50-60 mins) during the Super season compared to the 30-40 games that their counterparts play in the northern hemisphere. And most of our young...

Agree with your opinion on Lynagh’s game. He is definitely not “much better” than Donaldson and Lolesio. Same, same for mine. All three 10’s had shining moments this year but all were a bit inconsistent for one to really stand out. Lolesio’s game management was solid, Lynagh’s kicking game was...

AUNZ Invitational XV v British & Irish Lions Saturday, 12 July 2025, 8:00pm Adelaide Oval

Edmed played like Edmed plays. Safe and solid but without any real spark and unable to ignite his backline. Probably the reason why the Waratahs replaced him with Creighton. Koroibete is past his use by date on the international scene and last night’s performance proved that players playing in...

    Wallabies 2025

Donaldson has started at 10 in only 5 Test matches for 3 wins and 2 losses. Who are the other options you speak of? Lynagh, Edmed, Debreczeni, HMP, Creighton, Bowen?? Or Foley or O’Connor? O’Connor has only started at 10 twelve times for the Wallabies winning six - his last appearance being 5...
