    Aussie Player Exodus

At the England v Australia match last year at Twickenham a number of the Australia A players were in attendance watching the match. Reimer, Fines-Leleiwasa, Muirhead were talking to a number of Wallaby fans and all of them raved about the crowd and atmosphere for their previous Australia A match...

    Wallabies 2024

Pre World Cup last year, I was anticipating amd excited by the following potential backline heading towards the Lions: 9. Lonergan 10. Gordon 11. Jorgensen 12. Sua'ali'i 13. Ikitau 14. Nawaqanitawase 15. Petaia. All big bodies, all comfortable kicking ball from hand (right and left foot...

    Queensland Reds 2025

Has anyone had a close look at Viliami Lea? I see he is playing 12 this weekend for Souths and contracted in Japan at Toyota Verblitz. He is down as 108kg and with their being a lack of size in the backs in Aussie rugby, could he be a player of interest to an Aussie franchise?

    Waratahs 2025

How? The point being Lancaster is being placed at a team that are well stocked in his position, similar to what happened with Tuipolotu...

What is the deal with Conal McInernay? He always looked reliable and similar to Porecki in that he does the basics of the position well.

    Waratahs 2025

The Lancaster signing does not make sense and I cannot see him breaking the match day squad on too many occasions next year. RA need to learn their lesson to more evenly spread talent. Mosese Tuipolotu never got a shot last year and he has now headed off to Scotland where i fully expect him to...

    Aussie Player Exodus

I am all for young Australian players going abroad to gain experience and ultimately come back better players. What i am against is the ridiculously lax WR (World Rugby) eligibility laws and how countries incentivise to become eligible by the residency method- more aimed at Japan. In 10 years time I fear...

The fact is that players are leaving in numbers either for more coin or lack of playing opportunities in oz. The more we stay firm on this rule the more players like Meafou and soon Lucas and Hockings will represent other countries based on WR (World Rugby) weak eligibility rules.

Personally I don't believe that Nawaqanitawase should get the privilege of playing Olympics. Slap in the face 9f those staying in Union/7s

Didn't quite happen with Meafou... now the Rebels have folded the overseas restriction needs to stop. If one of these young guys has a strong season and deserve a call up, then this should happen otherwise Australia will be feeding Les Bleus.

Melbourne Rebels Players - where are they going?

If Ottavio is going to Scotland after World Cup, why on earth is he in the U20 squad....He is gaining valuable international experience that the Wallabies will not benefit from down the line. I hope that this is not the case.

Carter Gordon at 12 could really add something. He would complement a Lolesio or Lynagh at fly half and adds a big boot in open play and is defensively sound. Drawback is that with Ikitau at 13 it is a small back line.

    Wallabies 2024

I am a massive advocate for keeping players in their regular Super Rugby position when it comes to Wallabies. However having watched Gordon today, and without a stand out 12 currently, I would be tempted to have a look at him playing outside Lolesio in the inside centre position. Second playmaker but...

Porter & Scott among five Tigers to be released - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/68801562 Guy Porter and Nic Dolly both released by Leicester. Would fans like to see both players back in Australia? Not sure when both were last capped by England but i expect both would be Aussie...

    Wallabies 2024

Unless there is a tweek or withdrawal of gateau law requirement I expect that both Hockings and Lucas will be close to being able to represent Japan and everything considered likely to switch allegiances. I am sure the coach will welcome with open arms...I fear that Hosea could also follow...
