A lot of the boys at the carnival play div 2 due to club not grading and were simply overlooked due to the coach being part of div 1 comp, i think the coach should not be linked to the age group he coaches at club so the selections are impartial and definitely should not be able to coach...
As I said before boys weren't picked on merit of carnival and I think politics played a massive part, the 10 for yellow totally outplayed the 10 that was selected and that goes for many other positions, I think the very good players for the city team will need to carry some average players and...
Saw a photo of the team last night and find it very interesting that 15 out of the 21 were from green and red the coach and managers divisions, also why have a state carnival when everybody knew the U13 team was picked 8 weeks ago, that is evident by only one boy from blue division being picked.

The QJRU should be embaressed with themselves allowing the Brisbane head coach and manager picking there own sons in the Brisbane team, impartial selection not likely, green was totally outplayed all carnival. Yellow was the best Brisbane side and to only have a handful selected shows just how...
The only U13 I know that is playing U14 and also in the BJRU U14 side is Cameron Howard, this boy is a true rugby player, if he doesnt make the City U14 side and is allowed into the 13s he would be a very handy addition to a pack that will be very strong.
From the boys I know my picks are:
Forwards
Forde
Colvin
Small
Charles
Hearne
Keepa
Backs
It would be a robbery if the 10 Christian from Albany Creek was not named.
red head half back from Brothers
Soli
Springthorpe
Beall
The Yellow team has many of the boys from the U12 Schools State Chamionship from last year. They have power up front, the halves are very sharp and lots of speed out wide, they will be in the mix.
