    Round 6: Waratahs v Crusaders - Saturday 23 March @ SCG

Well well well. Who'd have thought. Now just watch the Tahs banana skin next week in Newcastle v Sunwolves as they rest all their Wallabies. I don't even care that my tips are in tatters this week. Great game though! Tahs defence, set piece, positional kicking, and bench impact went a long way...

2 * FREE TICKETS TO TAHS v REDS at the SCG this Saturday. I won some tickets to the Tahs this weekend but can't use them for geographical proximity reasons so if anyone wants them let me know. Round 1 - Waratahs vs Hurricanes @ Brookvale - Saturday 16 February 2019

Took a while for Holloway to get into the team last year and Latu sent 2/3 of the season not even on the bench for some unknown reason. Regardless I think you're right. No first rate ball runners to get us over the gain line 9/10 times. Still, more concerned about the scrum. They all looked...

Surely between Latu, Kepu, Holloway and Dempsey they can make some metres through the forwards.

Jaysus this could be a long year if we can't get parity at scrum time. Around the park and lineout should be OK but the Brums must have clocked up 150m of territory from scrum penalties off which they scored at least 2 tries from the resulting line out. Other than that some promising signs!

    Waratahs 2019

I'm 1000% behind giving Hunt a red hot got at 12. Beale at 15 and Izzy to the wing. Beale defends in the back 3 already and has experience so should be fine. Him and Izzy hanging back for the high balls and counter attacking is what you want. Hunt is far too good at organising a defensive line...
