Just on the Shore thing, many parents like that it has become more academic as well in the last 20 odd years. The soon to be leaving Headmaster had a lot to do with this and think its a good thing. Sport and winning became less of a focus and is more on getting all kids academic results heading...

Schoolboy rugby is just that. For schoolboys. I like Shore's approach and would like to send my boys there if I can. Schools are for education not so your kid can make the 1st XV nor platform for a headmaster to stand on stage and gloat to parents / students how wonderful they all are. I love...

Can of worms perhaps as is a contentious observation....Scots leading Firsts comp and running dead last in the Seconds on 1 point. I cannot comment as am not familiar with the school though begs the question how this happens. MR

Looked at Shore v Scots results and found something interesting. Every A team from Scots won comprehensively yet Shore B sides did not lose one match. Does this surprise anyone ? As a passive follower of rugby (rowing more my thing though dont hold that against me) this has me baffled. Like my...

Maybe other schools have better programmes or simply recruit, who knows, though is not good for the boys to knowingly struggle each year. Bit like Grammar and High when they were in the comp. I have no...

Hi All, Not sure if it is just me though Scots always seem to be in the papers ? Seems a tad self promoting at times compared with the others. As much as I like the whole GPS thing the schools can get a bit carried away at times. Remember, relatively few players make a career out of it at...

Big year of sport for Joeys. Got the HOR win (first time in yonks) and looking good after many years in the 1st XV. The 2 biggest prizes IMO in GPS Sport may reside in Hunters Hill this year. Major Rennie

Great to hear Shore getting up. They never give up even though are outmuscled and outsized every week. Go you good things ! Cannot wait for rowing season to start again ! One thing I would be interested in is the number of Yr12 student at the respective schools ? MR
