The GPS schools (except BSHS) don't participate in the schools pathway beyond U12 anymore as the comps interfere with the short GPS window. They support the Reds pathway which now starts from U14, similar to the schools pathway. That said, the Reds pathway culminates in a 4 team mini tournament...

You'll have to add a GPS school under Teams. Then you can go into the Comps section and select GPS 1st XV for fixtures

I saw there were 12 State High boys between the 2 QLD schools teams named....would be interesting to see how many of the 2 squads of 23 would still be there if all schoolboys were available to trial. That pathway has become less relevant with the Reds pathway now more accepted by most GPS schools

Those are not the rugby fields, they are training fields which they use for trials when the soccer teams are using the main fields. Because winter is split into half soccer and half rugby, the 2 sports share the fields and I suspect there is a similar scenario at most schools, where alternative...

Saw some highlights - looked like Nudgee scrum was dominating in the scrums and lineouts. Backs looked quicker and better drilled than the TSS backs. Score probably flattered NC a little with it pretty even in the first half and NC scoring a few in the 2nd half when the TSS bench came on...

I'm not sure why they would need to - many of their A teams go through their whole school career (u11-u16) undefeated, or close to it (in some age groups their B team would knock off most A teams). They're already producing very good players - why not back themselves? (or by the other schools...

If everybody is doing it, it levels out the playing field and becomes a case of 'our leagies are better than your leagies' in the race to the premiership. TSS have had junior state of origin players on the payroll and won premierships (eg Jye Gray) and have also junior SOO players and come 2nd...

Similar result in corresponding game last year. Still messing around with the squad and missing the rep league guys. Playing Nudgee next week so I’m guessing they’ll want their no. 1 squad for that game
