Good afternoon Gentlemen,
With round 2 coming up tomorrow I would like to address some changes in the 1st XV for Villanova.
With one of the star players Gus Godwin missing this weekends clash due to the shoulder injury he suffered in last weeks game, and Will Murphy out with a torn hamstring...
Yeah Reg,
AIC ruled that thirds teams do contested scrums but quickly reversed that decision. I definitely think ATC should be included in some rugby competitions but i do personally think its a huge mismatch in the thirds competition. At the end of the day it is just a game of rugby and it will...
Morning gents,
In regards to the comp this year I would like to address the fixtures for teams playing a round against St Peters. Peters only have 7 teams in AIC rugby this year across the whole school, taking into consideration they are a co-ed school and have never been a massive rugby school...
Yeah absolutely mate, Volleyball this year really ignited a rivalry between the two cohorts in which ACGS absolutely took the upper hand in. BBC will be out for revenge this footy season after copping it bad from the ACGS boys. Rugby is a whole new story with the physical aspect and there is no...
Yes Luke,
As always this will be a headlining event, however i expect BBC vs Churchie to be even better regarding the hype within the schools (not necessarily the biggest crowd) and the game should shape up to be a physical game. Safe to say, these two cohorts do not like eachother and the...
Yes Nig,
Thanks for the information on the referees. Heard Frazer Moloney was also a prominent referee who we might see on the field for 1st XV games in the future.
Yours truly,
Pete R.
Afternoon Ottawa,
I believe his mothers occupation has nothing to do with and does not take away from his unreal talents on the rugby field. Furthermore, the raiders, knights and dragons offered the youngster a contract. So Either way he easily has the skill to play in the NRL and I look forward...
I know it is a little early to comment, however i cannot help but express my excitement for young islander Kristian Tornatore who will be starting in the Churchie 1st XV if he can successfully recover from his shoulder injury. Churchie offered the young league player a scholarship in 2019 and he...
News out of Iona, with the injury of their star flyhalf (who was often the best on the field for the 1st XV), changes had to be made in the back line. Jordan Plath is now starting at flyhalf with Tom at halfback. Plath is a former hooker and is definitely an interesting choice at flyhalf with a...
Yes William, great to see a young villanova gentleman embrace the forums to engage in discussions surrounding the 1st XV. Your father would be proud of what you're doing for the college young man.
Anyways, my predictions for this weekends games:
VNC beat Iona by 12+
ASH beat SLC by 15+
PAD beat...
Due to the fact there aren't restrictions out at the games i do not think many schools will be livestreaming unfortunately. Should be an opportunity to get out to the playing fields and get around the young boys though gentlemen.
Safe to say I will be out at Tingalpa (Go the Villas).
Regards, Pete.
Greetings Fad,
St Patricks are always a team that you cannot look past, always present in size and aggression. I expect the game to be very physical and always look forward to seeing the Patricks fellas have a go. Ben Craig will definitely have to make the most of this run as it could be his...
