    Rugby 7s general chat

I think its for those events that follow another by one week. So Singapore had it after HK, and Capetown had it after Dubai.

NSW Waratahs v Fijian Drua - Fri 28 Feb 2025 7:30pm Allianz Stadium

I thought O'Donnell looked pretty good; Foketi rarely makes a break, so maybe play him (O'Donnell) at inside (Tahs needs a big strong inside center, we don't have many to run it up and get over the add line) when Jas comes back. Last year was dire for tahs because every time there was a close...

Scotland v Wallabies at Murrayfield 12.40am Mon 25 Nov

I think they had a run on the same pitch the game is on tonight.

Wales v Australia, Monday 18 November 3:10am AEDT

I have always thought It sounds like a good idea to put the tallest, skinniest guys in your team in the lineout on your throw. If it means you would win your own ball more often and take the pressure off having to selecting tall light second rowers and back rowers then it could be a good thing.

Wallabies v Springboks, Sat 10th August 2.30pm AEST @ Suncorp,

i haven't looked at the current bok side but at one stage this yeasr they had 7 first team players playing OS (in japan). If they are allowed do it and they whoop us, maybe we should too.

Sevens Lead In and Olympics 2024

i think the aus v nz girls 7's games seem to often be similar - the oz team misses their chances and the nz team seem to take theirs. The nz team has best wing defence which nullifies a lot of the oz attack. In the last game i think oz missed 2 or 3 opportunities to score in first minute or 2...

Sevens Lead In and Olympics 2024

I think thats really good thinking, she often looks really tired by the last game. It was good to see terita get thru unscathed. Her shoulder was looking crook in the earlier match, and we need her.

    Aussie Player Exodus

SA are playing 7 players playing week to week in japan and they won the world cup, maybe its our perspective thats wrong? I'm just stirring as i would like to see them play locally and oz rugby beat the kiwi's a bit more often. But - i could cope with a few more world cup wins....

    South Africa v Ireland 1am AEST 07/07

yikes -7 players of the bok 15 are playing in japan - they are going to keep playing for years. A couple in europe and a few in Hollywood :). Imagine our side if less than half were playing locally....
