for anybody that watched the major semi final on Saturday would of seen that QBYN 12 Keith Morgan (former aussie schoolboy) has Iona's measure and outplayed him in all aspects. if we want to develop our game in Canberra then these are the players that need to looked at for the NRC to develop...
but still eddies game away with the win. Maybe a reality check they need to get out of second gear perhaps ? Don't expect another game that close for the rest of the season.
With all this talk about scholarships for rugby, how many boys do you really see go through to make it at the elite level, many of the boys across all First XV's in Canberra will just go play club rugby for the fun of it. No matter which school or club the player plays for, the cream of the crop...
It is also appalling the poaching of players from others schools and clubs in the competition. The number of students that have moved to St Edmunds from others clubs and schools is phenomenal with most of these students cooincidently being outstanding rugby players and many of polynesian...
I'm not disagreeing with you on that. They talent the Polynesian boys posses is incredible. It does however make the seconds and thirds teams quite strong with the good players who are on the cusp of making first XV
