Agree with this, my understanding is that the reds made him an offer, it’s just that the crusaders one was better and new experience etc. Also have to remember he was out most of last season with injuries, not unreasonable to think he was winding down.

Heard an interesting tidbit on the ESPN podcast with Doran and Sam Bruce - Doran reckons the reds sought out a loan arrangement with the tahs for Isaac Kailea to help cover their loosehead injury problems. Apparently it was rejected.

But would there be more money for Henry elsewhere? I’d say the reasons why the reds wouldn’t pay him that much would apply to most other teams as well. Henry needs a good uninterrupted run without being injured before teams take the gamble (in my opinion)

I agree - he’s got proper size, good line out option and some of his tackles and clean outs are brutal. Lock with a bit of a nasty streak which is what everyone claims to want. If he continues to develop his carrying game a bit more (which it looks like he is, 2 tries this season in the tight)...
