True, but he called it over while we were still behind the line of the original infraction which I thought odd.

Is it a "chicken or the egg" thing though? What comes first? Shit performance or the shit decisions? While the considered majority are correct in saying that England outplayed us physically and tactically, that we took dumb options and used poor skills to lose the game, but the whole ref thing...

Congrats to the soap dodgers but fuck me, a level playing field would be nice one of these days... Going to bed.

Totally agree. For mine what we gain in line speed is a tasty prospect. He gives good go forward. Genia is class and always feels safe, but I do love the mayhem our forwards can create with the increased speed of recycle that Phipps seems to bring. When it works, it's a thing of beauty. I'm...

You can add "less likely to do a stupid fucking box kick at the wrong time" to Phipps' list too...

Well... We fucked that up, didn't we! Still, showed some really good fight in that and with a different bounce of the ball, a few passed or held balls and interpretations from the ref, we would and should have had it in a canter. Our decision making in the back line continues to evolve...

Hell of a rolling maul though.

That's a disingenuous and convenient definition of "in front".

I see what you did there... :D I totally agree with what you're saying - someone just needs to coach some leg drive into him. Lose another 5-10kg and up his aerobic fitness by another 50% and he's still such a tempting prospect. I've always wondered how he'd go at 8 in that ^^ condition.

Really proud to see us get away with the win. Very intense game in the forwards and some amazing French running to contend with. I felt the piggies on the ground were great. They dug in hard and were really aggressive across the park. Even Simmons. I felt they really brought the intensity we...
