Not sure if anyone has access the the last 5 mins of the Bros v Souths game on tape...my eyesight isn't what it once was, but of the 5 penalties in a row to Souths, I struggled with one of the breakdown calls, but I really didn't understand the last one, which directly changed the outcome...
Can those that are good with the stats etc explain what this weeks results do to finals chances?
Are Brothers safe now? Does that big loss by the Bank keep Souths alive etc?
Uni just quietly going about the business of winning whilst everyone talks about Easts and Bros. Uni v Bros next week...
Brothers Scrum and kick off returns will need to improve drastically on yesterday's first half. Seemed to be a mental thing, as they corrected in second half but Easts will expose those areas big time.
Young Tupou was awesome with ball in hand but will really need to get his set piece work...
Leading the comp. and you beat Brothers last round, all of your posts highlight how well the Tigers are going, and yet your claiming underdog status...and they said TT didn't have a sense of humour!
Team lists on Reds site... Not many Reds fronting this weekend. CFS for Souths Kurandrani for GPS is about it. Uni, Souths and GPS could feel a bit hard done by?? Not that those teams are reliant on Reds players to be competitive.
Apparently o'Connor is a done deal at Brothers and they are close to securing Hunt. It is rumoured Hunt will be asked to play club footy to continue his development.
Ben Hyne was the 4. Ben has struggled with injuries over the last 12 months but is finally getting to show his abilities. They have a very young tight 5 at the filth, with Ben, Terrin Walls (5) and Tom Moloney (1) all only 20 and Tupou only 18
Found the Filth v Bond game to be a real grind. Brothers attack was a little one dimensional which played into the hands of Bonds gritty defence. No standouts in this game, both teams missing a game breaker on the day.
Thought Greeny was more lateral than usual which didn't really help his side...
Word is that McIntyre will be the starting 10 for the Reds this weekend with Greene on the bench. Both to get game time. Frisby will come off the bench at 9. No Greene will hurt Brothers a lot.
Does anyone know how many of these kids stayed back at school an extra year (presumably for rugby)? I see few names from last years team lists and was wondering if they were very good year 11 players last year, or are have another crack by staying school for a repeat year 12???
Can someone please tell me if their is a limit on the number of games colts players can play up in the Prem grade before being excluded from playing the colts finals? Not sure this rule even exists these days?
