Scots are always strong in 2nd’s because the Roosters demand that their players play 1’s so a lot of good rugby players are in the 2’s……..

Your work is appreciated! Are we any chance of seeing teamlists?

My Brisbane contact tells me the Shore v Brisbane State high game was a great contest, Shore looking much more settled with some key inclusions, the scrum still needs work but they were up against a monster pack, costly misses of conversions were the difference

@wisemaan apart from Callaghan and obviously a long term injury to Bassingthwaite, who is to return for this team? Also do you think Hamilford deserves an opportunity?

\\ Here in lies a fundamental problem in Australian rugby commentary! We expect our kicking game to be outstanding on the back of a shit platform, static ball with no breakdown dominance combined with ineffective forward carries that do not bend the line to create front foot ball, big...

The 10 was Noah Quayle, 12 was Tully Robertson and the 13 was Max Brownie

Carter it’s a prodigious talent but it will be interesting to see how he performs under the scrutiny of GPS rugby, temperament will be the key determinant

Hopefully his scrummaging prowess also allows him to showcase his pick and go skills that were absent from the game last week, slow stagnant ball shovelled to a backline with no ascendancy, no thanks!

Although only trials I know, the Shore forward pack remains unchanged except for Amarti (shoulder) ?? The Shore forwards were decimated at scrum time and bashed at the breakdown with no front foot ball provided, some of those forwards should have trouble looking their scrumhalf Greig in the eye...

Could not agree more! I enjoy watching him play because I genuinely don’t know what he is going to do when he gets the ball which indeed a rarity in the modern game with our over coached system based players that “stick to the structure” give him good ball and give him early ball!

I think @the player may have also mentioned it, apart from obvious choices, who do you think has the potential to be the best back and forward?

I think another country boy from the central west Bede Clout will be the standout forward for the boys from the bridge and the fullback Callaghan is absolutely electric and will cement his reputation as one of the best in the competition!

I agree there, a big body who carries well and is very strong at set piece. Also a name to watch is Kden Carter, a fullback from the mid north coast who has real X factor

Pretty sure that they have been training at the school ground for many weeks but have only just resumed at the bridge playing fields

I can’t see it to start with, I believe the Shore backrow will be Reardon , Stock and Clout
