    QLD Premier Rugby 2021

Watched GPS v Easts yesterday. GPS had enough ball and territory to win by 30 points but silly mistakes almost cost them. They brought on a complete front row early in the 2nd half and i thought I was seeing the GPS scrum of old - completely destroyed the Easts scrum. Enjoyed the win obviously...

Don't know who will win but he will have 6,7,8 or 9 on his back.......just like nearly every other year.

Watched South v GPS and after 20 minutes wanted to scratch my eyeballs rather than watch anymore but I persevered. I hope the standard I watched was influenced by the windy conditions. A couple of things - GPS won't and can't win the comp, the GPS backs can't pass and the Souths No. 2 is either...

How to kill rugby for the rugby watching public #1 - blow a scrum penalty after the ball has been cleared from the scrum - GPS v Uni 81st minute. Ridiculous!!

I would feel cheap and dirty if I went with the Filth. It's the Students for me with a finals finish worthy of Octagonal.

What they all need is an award that does not include the loose forwards, half back and fly half. The game by its nature centres most activity around these positions because they are always on the ball therefore always in the eye. Have a look at these awards over the years and see what positions...

GPS bias maybe so, as are most of my posts, but still pertinent questions. It's long been known that if you are not in the "system" you won't get selected.

Great show of power from GPS yesterday. They really went hard into their first half tackles and Uni started to slip off tackles late in the first half. I thought Uni looked really done at half time and that GPS would roll over them in the second half however they tried valiantly and scored some...

Agree about the Brothers back row - good but got a way to go yet. Give me Morrey any day at No. 6 and Gicquel at No.7.

When I first moved to Brisbane from the deep north I shared a house with an old boy from Churchie. I was new not only to Brisbane but to this GPS school thing and GPS school rugby. My housemate was quite a bit older than me. One Saturday morning I asked him what he had planned for the day. He...

With my GPS bias - Dan Gorman for me. Never a super star, not a gifted player, shaken badly that sad day against Uni and had every right to give rugby away but, to use an old wine adage, gets better with age.

But if the referees continually let scrum feeds go like yesterday, the GPS scrum will be de-powered considerably. I thought I was watching league yesterday. Check the Sunnybank feed at the 48 min and 53 minute for case in point as the scrum is almost straight in line with camera. The ball is at...

Agree that Magnay should not play but a little harsh on the language Reg. Whilst I have no knowledge of what was or was not on offer, perhaps he "opted" to play with Rebels because their offer was more complete, better, bigger or whatever. It is a professional game. "Stuff him I say"......you...
