I assume that's to me. Rugby players - especially at schoolboy level - are reliant on confidence and this could be as a result of injury, form and much more. Solely looking at what is most obvious (in this case, his goal kicking) often sweeps the real problem under the carpet. Cheers for the...

Despite the back row in GPS rugby having a wealth of talent, I think you'd be hard to miss out Alex Schmidt (BSHS) who has converted from fullback so I've heard and has made the blindside position his own, with outstanding work rate and consistency. He has to be in there somewhere for me, maybe...

Having only watched Churchie v GT so far, here are my picks for team of the week from that game. Feel free to change if players played better in other games, I may change it myself later. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Metali Havili (ACGS) 6. 7. Cam Howard (GT) 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Hoani Ford...

In regards to the schoolboy forum rules, I think you mean to say "who was the kid intimidated by a powerful runner who was also much bigger than him, and struggled to complete the tackle".

Both boys in midfield played really well: solid in defence, carried strong, and put boot to ball to give Churchie territory. Also thought Churchie scrumhalf was solid in his passing, kicking, and even fronted up in defence.

Jordan Petaia and Alex Schmidt were outstanding all game for BSHS (of course until Petaia's red), and how about the try from the Ippy 9?!

Sorry I did get mixed up between Cayle Manu and Ethan Bullemoor, but in the game I watched Harry Wilson didn't play very well, and I have watched plenty of GT and thought he was a standout player last year. However I think the point of a ToW is not to pick on reputation, but on the form of said...

Harry Wilson stood out for you? I'm in no doubt he's an excellent player, but I didn't think he was great against NC. I thought Cayle Manu (NC #4) outplayed him.

    He had #14 on?

Is it bad I didn't know Ethan Robbins was on the field until he scored the try in the last minute to win it for NC? Mustn't have made an impression on me.

After watching Nudgee v BBC 15A last year, I would have thought the nudgee full back (Dan Atkinson) would have better adapted to 1st XV rugby as he was up against a very good flyhalf in the BBC 10, who seems to have flourished by the sounds of it. He looked nervous (which he has every right to...
