    Brumbies v British & Irish Lions - Wednesday, 9 July 8:00pm, Canberra

Well given he got on fairly late today, seems like we can pick him. My team would be: 1. Ieli 2. Lonergan 3. Fotuaika 4. Shaw 5. Neville 6. T Hooper 7. Scott 8. Tualima 9. Lonergan 10. Meredith 11. Toole 12. Feliuai 13. Sapsford 14. Muirhead 15. Debreczeni 16. Bowron 17. Alatini 18. Van Nek...

Wallabies v Fiji, Sunday, 6 July, 1:30pm @ McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle

People aren't going to like this, but White sharpened up the attack a lot when he went on. We need Tate coming on fresh enough to make metres around the ruck, not getting pulled down by a tight forward trying to fit through a gap big enough to park a bus in.

Wallabies v Fiji, Sunday, 6 July, 1:30pm @ McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle

The Wallabies have very long-standing, deeply ingrained structural and cultural problems. Ever since the expansion to a fourth super rugby side, they've very rarely achieved the cohesiveness they need at international level. Our best sides have always been those that are dominated by one super...

Probably a fair bit to do with this tbh:

Video replays seem particularly useless for adjudicating forward passes. Relying on one in which you can't even see the player's hands is moronic.

Wallabies v Fiji, Sunday, 6 July, 1:30pm @ McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle

Tom Wright stabbing through an attacking kick, wondering why neither of the wingers regathered it before remembering Corey Toole isn't on the pitch

    Brumbies v British & Irish Lions - Wednesday, 9 July 8:00pm, Canberra

I must have missed some news about Andy Muirhead, I was hoping he would start. The Brumbies' rush umbrella defence has the potential to be highly effective against the Lions, who rely heavily on wide play and cut-outs. If Muirhead isn't playing, I'd be inclined to give his defensive role to...

    Waratahs v British & Irish Lions - Saturday, 5 July @ SFS

Imagine what Luke Reimer is going to do to this rabble. I still hope the Brumbies bench him and bring him on at around the 50 minute mark when the Lions are shuffling the backline. They're going to struggle to string four phases together.

    Waratahs v British & Irish Lions - Saturday, 5 July @ SFS

Honestly I increasingly can't tell the difference between the two positions these days. They're both playmakers and distributors who very often don't stand at first receiver, rather tucking in behind the first or second pod. The main difference in most cases is that the 15 is a little bit...

    Waratahs v British & Irish Lions - Saturday, 5 July @ SFS

Always thought he was wasted as a winger tbf. He threw a lovely left to right cut-out pass tonight. He's always had the makings of a flyhalf, having played there in JID for a good couple of years.

    Refereeing decisions

I've noticed that some grounds seem to broadcast the referee's explanation through the PA. Does anyone know if they do that at Bruce? I'm going to the Brums game on Wednesday and need to know if I should be going out and buying a set of sports ears, after I lost my old one many years ago.

If meritocracy existed, Kellaway wouldn't need to be dropped because it would've already happened last year.

    Waratahs v British & Irish Lions - Saturday, 5 July @ SFS

Geez I hope they pick van der Merwe on Wednesday. Big fast lad who makes good metres, but let's be honest, in defence he turns like the facken Ruby Princess. Corey Toole is going to snap his ankles clean through.

    Waratahs v British & Irish Lions - Saturday, 5 July @ SFS

Honestly when I saw this Waratahs squad compared to the Reds team from Wednesday, I thought this was going to be just as big a walkover. Much as I loved the litany of embarrassing errors from the Lions, there were a lot of plucky performances from inexperienced Tahs in there, and mostly parity...
