Oh boy my Raiders. Why do you have to do this to me year after year after year. A bad loss to the Bears at home in LV and then we get what will probably be the season killer with the resignation/firing today of head coach Chucky Gruden following the emergence of old emails with racial, homophobic and misogynistic comments. The Raiders are 3 and 2. Will the team rally under interim coach Rich Bisaccia or will it be another lost year. Gruden had a second chance with the Raiders and an unheard of 10 year $100 million contract. Now he's been fired twice by the team and probably done in football as a coach and high profile TV commentator. What a fall from grace.

The Raiders show true grit to come out and take care of the Donkey's at Mile High stadium in Denver. After a tumultuous week the team was focused and won easily. Great defensive performance headlined by mad Max Crosby with 3 sacks and 5 QB hits. The defence had 5 sacks overall and 3 interceptions. Speedster Henry Ruggs had the splash plays with 3 catches for 97 yards and a TD. Raiders QB Derek Carr with another 300+ yard game continues his great year behind an injury ravaged O-Line. At 4 and 2 the team are tied with the Chargers for top spot in the AFC West. As big Al would say......Just Win Baby!

Imagine if Derrick Henry played rugby. Size, power and he is quick. It would be like the second coming of Jonah Lomu!

Oh God, it's happened hasn't it.

Oh well, we all knew this fateful day would finally come.....

.....your little Jim Kelly shrine made out of matchsticks has finally collapsed hasn't it?

Oh well, it had a good run.

Hahaha. I'll be right.

It was a disappointing loss yesterday. Really not a game we should have lost but the Titans seem to always rise to the occasion against us. I wasn't stoked with the call to go for it on 4th down rather than taking the field goal to send it to overtime. It would have been different if we were at the half yard line and needed the sneak to win the game.

Getting the first down there would have given us two passing plays to try and score a TD and then if we hadn't done that we could have kicked the field goal to go to OT. That to me isn't the best risk vs reward. We put the whole game on the line for a first down, not for the win.

The most frustrating part is that the Bills are now in bye week so it's an extra week to stew on the loss!

The RAAAAAAAIIIIDDDEEEEERRRRRRS take on the dirty stinking green drunk birds of Philadelphia as JT The Brick calls them. Big game and a chance for the Raiders to head into their bye with a 5 and 2 record. Protect home field.....Just Win Baby!

The Raiders keep rolling with a win over the dirty stinking green drunk birds of Philadelphia and enter the bye week atop the AFC West. The scoreboard flatters the Eagles who got 2 late garbage time TD's. Derek Carr with another 300+ yard game and hitting 91% completions. He is in total command of this offence despite missing top target Darren Walller. Foster Moreau filling in ably at TE. Despite missing key players on both sides of the ball and the supposed turmoil around the Jon Gruden departure this team continues to show resilience and prove the detractors wrong.

Ditching Gruden seems to have been a blessing. Apparently Carr has veto over any play at the moment.

Carr was always able to change the plays at the line of scrimmage, even under Gruden, but it appears everyone on the team is now more relaxed with a less intense coach on the sidelines. While Gruden is recognised as an offensive genius scheming up plays, I think it got to the stage where he was somewhat hamstrung by over analysis and having too many plays. Sometimes simpler is better and having OC Greg Olsen calling the plays has opened up the offence, even though it remains under the scheme installed by Gruden.

Another massive blow to the Raiders in a tumultuous season of drama. Star second year receiver Henry Ruggs involved in a early morning crash in Las Vegas and charged with DUI resulting in the death of a 23 year old women. Terrible story especially for the family of the innocent party killed. That's probably the end of Ruggs NFL career with a minimum 2 year jail sentence likely. He has a high profile lawyer but the Raiders had to, and have subsequently cut Ruggs. Locker already cleared out....it doesn't take long!

Apparently he rear ended the Rav 4 driving a Corvette. Imagine how fucking fast you'd have to by flying to kill someone rear ending them in a smaller car.

The Rav4 caught fire killing the woman and her dog. Henry Ruggs lost his best friend at the age of 17 in a vehicle rollover on the way to a basketball tournament. His friend wore the number 3 in high school, hence the reason Ruggs always points 3 fingers to the sky in tribute when he scored a TD. Ruggs girlfriend with whom he has a daughter was a passenger in the car. Could just as easily left their daughter without parents. Should of known better, a life changing evening.

The Raidera on the back of 3 devastating losses where they have played lacklustre football, returned with the mojo for the Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys at Jerry World. Raiders QB Derek Carr has been under pressure in the last 3 games with the season seemingly on the line and playing some of his worst games. He returned to form today with a thrilling win in OT. The Raiders season got a wake up call and hopefully a push towards the finals. Just Win Baby!

RIP to John Madden. Iconic Raiders coach and esteemed broadcaster who appeared on all the major US networks during his broadcasting career. As great and influential figure in the history of the NFL as there has been. Perhaps the Superbowl trophy should be renamed the Lombardi Madden trophy. His beloved Raiders have rallied to win their last two games to stay in a very competitive playoff hunt in the AFC. Big game coming up against the Colts and league leading rusher Jonathan Taylor. Do it for Coach.....Just Win Baby!

RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAIIIDERRRZZZZZ back in the post season for the 2nd time in 20 years.

Some insane squeaky bum action there. That is about as good as sports viewing gets. What fantastic theatre.

Raiders with a dagger thru the Chargers brains. The fuuuuuck was the Chargers coach doing? "Oh, are they going to let the clock run out so we both go to the playoffs here? Hmm, maybe I'll call a TIMEOUT and stop the clock to show them who's boss"

#facepalm

That plus the earlier berserkly bungled 4th down attempt on his own 18, the guy is going to be excoriated.

Holy shitballs, to the Chargers credit, all those 4th down conversions to stay alive.

First playoff trip for the Raiders since 2016. It hasn't always been pretty, they've blown games they should of won and made it harder than it needed to be. But hats off winning the last 4 games to bring some joy to the Raider Nation.

Statistically it wasn't Derek Carrs best game but he did enough and got support from the run game and the D. Josh Jacobs has come good down the stretch and is running hard behind a young OLine that has grown as the season progressed. And you have to love Hunter Renfrow. First 1000 yard receiving season and a guy that has those goofy change of direction routes that break DB's ankles. Clutch performance, only 13 yards on 4 receptions but 2 massive TD's.

The Raider D kept the pressure on and the spiritual leader Mad Maxx Crosby came up with 2 big sacks. A great game by a team that has had more hurdles to overcome than most. Last but not least Daniel Carlson has been the iceman nailing huge game winning kicks all season. He did it again today and is shaping up as another great Raiders kicker to follow Sea Bass.

You Did it for Madden and left the new Vegas fans with a win to remember that will entrench you in the Vegas sporting psyche. JUST WIN BABY!
