What a tremendous player he is Rod.Barkers win was built on a solid forward pack and great kicking by 10 Denes.

I agree with some of this. I was at the game. Trinity were the much more dominant team and were likely to have won the game. They won the game with their forwards and backs. I don't believe Cranbrook would've clawed there way out either. Trinity played well, and Cranbrook below par. Poor discipline was ultimately their downfall with too many knock-ons, missed tackles and not much support in the ruck. A lot to work on for these boys but I do believe this isn't a reflection of how the season will play out. Best of luck to both these teams, Congratulations to Trinity, and I hope that hooker from Cranbrook is ok.Cranbrook 5 Trinity 26 Game abandoned. Cant 'technically' count it as a win for trinity but obviously much with the upper hand on the scoreline thanks to a rapid start. It didnt look like Cranbrook knew what hit them in that first ten minutes, The trinity wingers and 15 were running around them with ease, set plays across all trinity teams in the backline were well executed. Looked like a well drilled team out there especially in the first 15 minutes, came out with intent.
Cranbrook clawed their way back into it after about twenty minutes and would say played the better rugby for the rest of the half. Their forwards really put in the hard yards through the middle and definitely had the upper hand over their forwards with some big scrums and massive carrys, especially from the Cranbrook 3. One of the bigger Cranbrook packs I have seen in a while.
With a try around 10 minutes before half, Cranbrook were looking likely to go over again before the end of the half before an illegal tackle by the Trinity Number 5 on 2 Johann Ah-Colt, obviously sent off and ending the game. Do wonder if Judicial action will be taken, a very dangerous tackle. Glad to hear he is okay, hope he is not out too long.
Obviously a big scoreline but without the injury and a red card to trinity would have been interesting to see what came of the rest of the game. Anyways, interesting to see these two teams come up against each other again during CAS. Trinity won the backs, Cranbrook won the forwards.

Not too sure, but Trinity beat Cranbrook 33-0. While taking off most of there players in the second half.any word of the 16A's comp this year, predicted ladder?
Yes, I agree - and as a Trinity old boy and Cranbrook parent, I think I can offer an even-handed assessment. Cranbrook did not "win the forwards". Levi Funa made some great runs, and Cranbrook's scrum looked marginally stronger: but Trinity's lineout was better and they were also marginally better at the breakdown, securing more turnovers than Cranbrook. There were a lot of unforced handling errors from Cranbrook. On the other hand, Cranbrook certainly improved as the game went on. Some astute kicking and strong chasing earned them better field position, and then they used their big forwards well. Early on, they tried to run the ball from near their own line, apparently thinking that they could beat Trinity out wide, and it misfired badly. Full credit to them for switching the game plan when it became clear that it wouldn't work.I agree with some of this. I was at the game. Aloys Looking strong mate, dont count them out. Graduated their in 2010 and the rugby program has improved ever since. Watchout for the front rowers very strong scrummagers.Greeting and salutations,
Coming from the GPS forum, i have heard some pretty good line ups except from Joeys. looks like there is going to be a few very long trial games against view, and kings. Barker are in good shape, to win CAS but View will certainly give them a run for their money in trial
Hailey over and out
Yes, as a Cranbrook Old Boy i can only be fair. As the game went on they were improving, an unfortunate end to the game. Who is Cranbrook playing this week?Yes, I agree - and as a Trinity old boy and Cranbrook parent, I think I can offer an even-handed assessment. Cranbrook did not "win the forwards". Trinity's tries were scored by Brock Prideaux (2), Logan Toohey and Cody Ramanauskas.
Trinity now takes on St Patrick's at Strathfield on Saturday, a game which is always played with plenty of feeling.
Begging to look like a dire year for the brook lads, lets hope they don't take that out on the SO's in their lives. Not too sure, but Trinity beat Cranbrook 33-0. While taking off most of there players in the second half.
All Cranbrook teams have scots this week; will be interesting to see resultsYes, as a Cranbrook Old Boy i can only be fair. As the game went on they were improving, an unfortunate end to the game. Who is Cranbrook playing this week?
Last season they were poor but still won against Trinity, this year they lost...Does Anyone know how Cranbrook 2nds are looking this season compared to last season?
"versing" is not a verb.Who are the cas schools versing this weekend?
They've got a fixture this weekend against the Scots 3rds, if that tells you anything. Cranbrook 1s scimmaging against scots, should be pretty uninterupted but nothing official.Does Anyone know how Cranbrook 2nds are looking this season compared to last season?
Thank you"versing" is not a verb.
Well what you’re using is slang and very common with kids these days. It is thought to have been picked up through video game terminology, but also through the ambiguous sound of the word “versus”.
What you are doing with this and “versing” is thinking that the original “versus” is a verb, when it’s in fact a preposition.
A preposition is a word that shows a noun or pronoun’s relationship with another word in a sentence. The common ones are things like: on, in, above, through, below and before.
In future use "play" or "playing" both are verbs. Eg. Cranbrook are playing Trinity this weekend.
Nice to put my teachers hat back on.
Correct. But language and grammar does change over time..What you are doing with this and “versing” is thinking that the original “versus” is a verb, when it’s in fact a preposition.
