I agree with some of this. I was at the game. Trinity were the much more dominant team and were likely to have won the game. They won the game with their forwards and backs. I don't believe Cranbrook would've clawed there way out either. Trinity played well, and Cranbrook below par. Poor discipline was ultimately their downfall with too many knock-ons, missed tackles and not much support in the ruck. A lot to work on for these boys but I do believe this isn't a reflection of how the season will play out. Best of luck to both these teams, Congratulations to Trinity, and I hope that hooker from Cranbrook is ok.

Not too sure, but Trinity beat Cranbrook 33-0. While taking off most of there players in the second half.
Yes, I agree - and as a Trinity old boy and Cranbrook parent, I think I can offer an even-handed assessment. Cranbrook did not "win the forwards". Levi Funa made some great runs, and Cranbrook's scrum looked marginally stronger: but Trinity's lineout was better and they were also marginally better at the breakdown, securing more turnovers than Cranbrook. There were a lot of unforced handling errors from Cranbrook. On the other hand, Cranbrook certainly improved as the game went on. Some astute kicking and strong chasing earned them better field position, and then they used their big forwards well. Early on, they tried to run the ball from near their own line, apparently thinking that they could beat Trinity out wide, and it misfired badly. Full credit to them for switching the game plan when it became clear that it wouldn't work.
Trinity's tries were scored by Brock Prideaux (2), Logan Toohey and Cody Ramanauskas.
Trinity now takes on St Patrick's at Strathfield on Saturday, a game which is always played with plenty of feeling.

Waves play Shore this Sat at Death Valley. I would suspect many players will be trialed by both teams.
Don't know much about both sides, in particular Shore. Will be interesting to see how Shore backs up from last years terrific GPS win.
Waves have a few back.A strong backline is predicted, the forward pack probably won't be as large as the Waves typically produce, but they do have some strong forwards like Finegan and Sione.

Coming from the GPS forum, i have heard some pretty good line ups except from Joeys. looks like there is going to be a few very long trial games against view, and kings. Barker are in good shape, to win CAS but View will certainly give them a run for their money in trial

Aloys Looking strong mate, dont count them out. Graduated their in 2010 and the rugby program has improved ever since. Watchout for the front rowers very strong scrummagers.

Yes, as a Cranbrook Old Boy i can only be fair. As the game went on they were improving, an unfortunate end to the game. Who is Cranbrook playing this week?
Begging to look like a dire year for the brook lads, lets hope they don't take that out on the SO's in their lives.

Yes I have heard that Cranbrook have scots, however it is a scrimmage opposed training with maybe half a game on top of that. Good learning for both sides

"versing" is not a verb.
Well what you’re using is slang and very common with kids these days. It is thought to have been picked up through video game terminology, but also through the ambiguous sound of the word “versus”.
What you are doing with this and “versing” is thinking that the original “versus” is a verb, when it’s in fact a preposition.
A preposition is a word that shows a noun or pronoun’s relationship with another word in a sentence. The common ones are things like: on, in, above, through, below and before.
In future use "play" or "playing" both are verbs. Eg. Cranbrook are playing Trinity this weekend.

They've got a fixture this weekend against the Scots 3rds, if that tells you anything. Cranbrook 1s scimmaging against scots, should be pretty uninterupted but nothing official.

The US also has the inverse concept of "atting"
Knox v Barker denotes a Knox home game, but
Cranbrook @ Scots means an away game for Cranbrook.
